    This contest will be decided by a random drawing sometime on or around February 1, 2022, depending on my schedule. Should I be absent, you may consider the contest active until such time as I return and finalize it with the drawing.

    To enter, simply type the words “entry post” into your reply.

    The enigmatic “QuarterMaster” from Quarter Notes, Ltd. (whose secretive identity remains unknown to me to this day) counterstamps short, pithy phrases- which amount to riddles or puns- on Statehood quarters, and releases them into circulation. Often the phrase has something to do with the state or design featured on the host coin.

    He has anonymously sent me several rolls of his handiwork to distribute.

    The prize will be eight different Statehood quarters counterstamped by the Quarter Master, just as with the past Quarter Notes giveaways. Have fun with the riddles!

    Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the number of Quartermaster's work in circulation? I've never seen one in person, but it seems like there are a lot of them out there.

    I've received close to a dozen different quarters over the past few years plus a cash surprise - thanks to the Quartermaster for his generosity ;)

    As I recall, one of the mailings he sent out did have some population numbers for the pieces issued, but I can’t lay my hand on that information now.
