mine is still there, and i ordered 1 minute after rick.

Once you see pending credit card charges, then you'll know that they're getting ready to ship. Seems like they're going to be pretty late with this one, which is surprising. Normally they seem to try to use a later ship date, then "surprise" people by being slightly ahead of schedule.

  4. I ordered at 12:03. My CC now has it as a pending transaction. TC

I ordered mine in early July and my cancel box is gone, but no pending charge as yet.

Mine is not due to be shipped until October, but maybe this is the Mint's way of cutting down on cancellations.

No cancel box, but I don't ever recall seeing one to begin with. I placed my order early on the 5th day. It says order pending with a ship date of 07/27/2012.

Hi all, I am curious, I ordered 2 sets for me and 1 set for a friend. I barely got my order in the last 15min of the sale because of technical difficulties. My order is Expected to ship on 10/31/2012. Does this mean I will get other people's return orders? or will I get the end of the coin mintage and my coins would most likely be hard to get a coin in PF70 condition?

Everyone is wondering that, and I don't think you can know for certain either way. Don't forget, you can inspect and return if you're not satisfied!

There's always the two sets I cancelled on from an order placed during the first week of sales. Those must've been minted to demand right? So that they could ship around the estimated shipping date. If you get those they aren't returned from anyone.

I don't put too much stock in people's unproven idea about getting "sloppy seconds".

Mine says "your order request is in process." And it shows a ship date of 7/27. So we shall see

The set will still have numismatic value, and I predict that the reverse proof will do very well. What is the big deal about jumping ship? It is because the set may not double or triple immediately, and bring in a quick flip? If so, nobody should have expected a repeat of 2006 and 2011 in terms of mintages that low--the mint did learn from those situations. At worst, one has a beautiful and unique coin set to celebrate the mint anniversary that may jump up in value in the future, if one looks LONG TERM. Coin collecting isn't a quick flip thing, and if people expect that, they're in the wrong market--try day trading or option contracts. :)
