I have a feeling I'll be in the minority here, but I like MCM's current offer for a set graded 70, including OGP and shipping, for $229.

I here you Clint, MCM's sell price
    PR69/ Reverse PF69 ~ $189 plus $6 shipping
    PR70/ Reverse PF70 ~ $229 plus $6 shipping
At these selling prices of graded coins, it don't leave to much of a profit for the OGP sets ! But there will alway's be some people who will over-pay for these sets.

What can people ask for the OGP sets ? $169 plus shipping (or less)

I don't get why people are so scared of 200k to 250k sales on these? This set is still looking like a mintage below the 2006 set so what are people scared of? I guess since three coins out of 57 have a lower mintage that kills the deal

Notice how you can lock in at those prices. Those prices are "estimates" and the price will be set by the open market. I wonder how many people are not buying a set from the mint because they see these low prices for graded sets that nobody is actully committing to sell at?

Just a side light here boys and girls. They (the mint) let the 2009 UHR St. Gaudens float for a spell and everyone said it would be a bomb. Try to pick one up today for a bargain price........Even with the appreciation of gold in the last few years an OGP set goes for way more than the issue price. With the popularity of the ASE series I think this issue will both retain and exceed expectations in the future. It won't be a 'killer' money maker like the 25th anniversary issue but I truly believe that folks that buy them will not be loosing money on these down the pike. MHO......:)

since some dealers were selling NGC70 at $230.00, NGC69 at $190.00 and raw set at $165.00. i can calculate and come out dealers buying from us (the collectors) NGC70 at 150.00, NGC69 at $125.00 and raw set at $110.00.

CDN inter dealers bid and ask should be as follows:
    NGC70 bid $185.00 ask $205.00. NGC69 bid $155.00 ask $170.00 and raw set bid $135.00 ask $150.00.

summary thought - forget about this set. i will pass.

I'm now guessing 235k. I'm thinking 10k a day for the last six days. At this mintage, I'm thinking that I'm in for a couple more sets. I'm waiting until the last day though.

expect 40,000 for monday report, 20,000 for tuesday, 60,000 for thursday, and 105,000 for friday final report. total mintage around 400,000.

Only in the mint's wildest imagination will they sell 225k in the last week!

I expect a lot of that, which of course, will push the mintage higher than anticipated.

You can make dreams come true.
