Was telling a friend of mine from the coin club about my post here regarding the Barbers and he kinda got after me a little because I didn't post any pics. He said maybe some folks don't know what a "Full Rim" is or looks like. So I got to thinking maybe he was right. :thumb: Anyway, here they are. Pics 1,2 and 3 are of Good 4 Full Rim Barber dime, quarter and half. Pic 4 is a No Rim half.
So whomever said it takes 21 days to change a habit, got it all wrong. It's been 22 days since I or anyone else has posted to this thread and here I am doing it again. Got 4 weeks of numbers to share. For the past 4 weeks, 2,404 of the 2011 Silver Proof Sets have been sold. In honor of my birthday tomorrow, the first person to read this and post the words, the dime is mine, will receive a two thousand eleven ngc graded proof seventy silver dime. Better be quick. 2,404 sets sold in 4 weeks, averages out to 601 sets sold per week. That brings the current total of 2011 Silver Proof Sets sold to 561,010. That's 24,404 behind the 2010 total. If the current average of 601 sets sold per week continues, what are we talkin? 40+ weeks to catch up to the 2010 sales? That's 3 weeks into February? Wow.:hail:
You gotta be kidding me! 2 minutes? Amazing! We have a winner folks! Kasia!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!:hail: Kasia, PM me with your mailing address and I will ship the 2011 Early Releases NGC Proof 70 Silver Dime tomorrow. After I mail it, I will provide you with a tracking number. Again, congrats! I'm really happy for you!
Indeed: congrats! And thanks for keeping this rocking thread rolling! Cue the music now... "Don't you want somebody to love!" Err, 2schnauvers, that is!
I also have been hitting the junk silver it is fun to just pull all the ones I find in the batch and then go home and fill holes and do upgrades.
The Dime Is Mine! Thank you so much, 2schnauzers2luv! Really outstanding. I took a quick pic of it, but my pics of proof coins are verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry poor right now. I have a lot of practice I need to do And this coin will definitely help! One of these days I will get a really nice one, but until then, here's my first pic of the coin:
1 day. However, I'm kinda sad because I just spent most all of my coin fund last week, so now I'm going have to wait to get paid again, just so I can buy the set.
Got some numbers. Sales for the 2011 Silver Proof Set continue to move slowly. For the past 2 weeks, 876 sets were sold. 415 and 461 respectively. The new total is now at 561,886. Still 23,528 behind the 2010 sales figure. Sales of the 2012 Silver Proof Sets began yesterday from the mint. As our good friend Kruptimes mentioned in Post #509, he's betting on the 2012 Set to win this horse race.:hail: Either way, it will be interesting to see how it all turns out. This thread is always open to any and all submissions regarding FREE MONEY along with your thoughts, comments and any observations you may have. Remember, think FREE MONEY!
Located two weeks worth of numbers. Sales for the 2011 Silver Proof Set totaled 1,234. 928 and 306 respectively. Total sales at this point are 563,120. That's 22,294 less than the 2010 Total of 585,414. Sales began June 4th for the 2012 Silver Proof Sets and the opening week saw 189,628 sets sold. The 2nd week, another 14,026 sets are off the Mints shelves. Total is now 203,654. I read somewhere, that 189,628 was 20% lower than the first week sales for the 2011 Silver Proof Sets. Even though, the 2012 Silver Proof Set is currently HOT. But, WHO KNOWS how long the fire will burn?
Phew!! I was sent to purgatory (don't know why exactly), but I was somehow reinstated (don't know why exactly). It's nice to be able to chat with my "Free Money" buddies once again!! :hail: Thanks for keeping things going, Schnauz!
