Today I bought 21 2012 ASE's on the "dip". I ended up paying right at $33 each shipped. Anyone else buying or planning to buy? Silver has been trending down towards $30 and I think it will hit its floor soon and gradually trend back up.
I bought 20 Libertads for $33.25 each shipped from Provident. Where did you find ASE's for $33 shipped? Edit: I paid with CC, so I suppose my price could have been lower if I used cash.
I used provident with the "asesale" promo code. That code gives you 2012 ASE's for $2.25 over spot. At the time I pulled the trigger spot was $30.17 buy. I also used a cashiers check so I got cash pricing.
I just went on and looked at the spot prices, they have been trending down lately and, like you said, hovering around $30/oz. So I used to promo code "asesale" and it took off a whole $2.25!! haha... I still think that silver is going to continue a downward trend, which is when I'll buy some more.
i bought some a couple of days ago from a local coin shop owner. He initially wanted $23.80 per $1 and i told him i wasn't interested. since he needed the cash quickly he offered $19 per $1 face value if i paid in cash.
I think you're right. This is a GREAT time to buy silver. And yes, I just put my money where my mouth is; I bought some silver.
I bought a roll of Incuse silver rounds, which is my personal favorite way to collect silver, and I also got a roll of ASE. The silver eagles are quite beautiful and I now see what the fuss is about. My only regret is I didn't buy 1 extra eagle that I could keep around and play with...
How about a thread where you post a picture of what you bought each and every day. Sounds entertaining. :thumb:
I would be buying up as much silver as I could right now, I just dont' have the money at the moment which is sad. It seems that whenever I have the money silver is higher, and whenever I don't silver is lower... Go figure.
That excuse sounds like your icon... Don't worry what other say or think if you enjoy what you are collecting. Give it a try, lets see your daily acquisitions!
Oh theres plenty of threads with stuff. I just dont keep it all in one thread. Recently I got a 10oz engelhard bar, about 100 morgans/peace, few ASE, some US junk dimes, quarters, n halves, and some older Austrailian halves that are .925 Not as exciting as some people. Theres some who buy monster boxes all the time. Me I am just a humble lil collector/ reseller.
That's still rather evasive compared to your earlier, jest or claim, that you buy silver "each n every day."
I dont get what you are wanting. Are you trying to catalog my inventory or something lol? If you are trying to be super literal, no I am not under some obligation to buy silver every single day regardless of the deals I can get. I buy every day I find the right deal. I didnt think youd take that to mean I buy every single day regardless of where its available like I am some fool wondering around aimlessly with 50 billion dollars to blow impervious to cost or quality. But I do actively search for gold n silver every single day buying when I feel I found a good item.
Just busting your chops a bit here is all for wanting you to clarify your comment in a thread soliciting bullion investment advice on buying silver, something rather seriously talked about, rather than passing about the silliness. However, if you don't want someone to take what you say a certain way then you shouldn't make such flippant comments like, "always buying silver, each n every day", how else are we to know you aren't doing what you say. Of course there's no "obligation" that you buy every day other than your own suggestion that you do just that. I also wasn't being "super literal" just literal, again based on what you gave us to consider and question. Had I thought you actually bought "each n every day", then I might not have even asked you to clalrify, but since so many joke around about this sort of thing, and the jokes rather stale at that, its worth soliciting clarification to keep up quality posts about the topic. :thumb:
Ok because apparently my comment was disrespectful and silly for saying I buy silver every day I will clarify the comment so that no harm comes to anyone by misconstruing my original comment. This past two weeks I have made a daily purchase of silver 42.86% of the time. That is 6 days of the past 14 which silver came into my possession with an exchange of money or of other goods. This is a semi average span of time in my silver purchases and if possible I do like to buy each and every day. Guess ill just cruise on back to the numismatics side of the forum now. They might say your coin is crap but I have never been called disrespectful for voicing my opinion and state of mind when it comes to doing something I enjoy like collecting PMs or coins.
Now don't get bent out of shape because your joke was shredded. And no one called you "disrespectful" either...
