Sure it was prejudicial. It was meant to be. I also still contend it is largely accurate.

Checkmate? I think not, but whatever makes you feel better.

I am sorry that I obviously ruffled a few tail feathers. That was not my intention.

By the way, thank you for the welcome.

I might get one just for the Reverse Proof but other than that, there's nothing really that special about this set if they're gonna take as many orders in about a months time. Who knows though, maybe the mintage will be small since it'll ween out the potential flippers who are out just to try and make a quick profit.

I doubt it, that means they'd have to take 24166 orders every single day for the month they are selling them just for this set alone.

they sold 100k in a few hours why not 700k in a month? I know at $120 im in for 5.

I just think if all the online sites and the coin show can buy as many as they want for 120 the numbers will be thru the roof and then im sure the site will still be able to sell them for big profit by throwing a slab on them

I never play the 'slab game' with moderns. I like 'em just the way they come from the mint and, to me, it's a waste of time and effort to get 'em graded. Let the hair splitters run the numbers up in their efforts to tout their regal 70's. Don't matter a lick for this collector.....

I'm a sucker for the reverse proof Eagle also, so that's why I want a set. As fretboard suggested earlier, including a half-dollar size Eagle would make for an interesting and different set, if the Mint decided to do that some year. There are a few different things they could do for variety, if they wanted to, such as a high relief Eagle and a half-ounce Eagle. Oh, well; time will tell.

Coin Update has a link stating the mint will have a sales odometer on its ordering page. "In an effort to publicly share the rate of sales.........." Mint public affairs.

    Thank-you, thank-you and thank-you - US Mint

Well, you have to consider, they already released the mintage numbers of the 25th ASE set. They're gonna mint to order these sets, so these likely weens out those flippers trying to gobble up any they know they can do a quick turnaround 100% type profit because most couldn't get their hands on one. This one is open for a whole month. The only thing that makes this set special is, you just have one month to get your order in.

Without any mintage limits and household ordering limits, I'd say to those that collect, buy your set, be happy. To those hoping to buy a few to make profit, have fun listing and re-listing these on eBay, watching them collect dust. ;)

And probably three or four months to receive it, depending on your order placement. I'll opt in early hoping for an early delivery

I thought ordering begins June 7th and they start shipping in early July. So probably a month at minimum in which they're likely doing this to get all orders, so they have good count on how many they need to mint to do them all at once for the most part.

I'm thinkin' they'll have struck a certain number of coins before the release date and after that see where 'demand' takes it.

This should be fairly interesting. I like that they're going to make as many as it takes to meet demand during this time frame. This should tell us what the real demand is. I think half the people that bought the 25th sets were only looking to flip based on how much is constantly on ebay. For some reason it seems the sales of those sets never dies down. So I think the dealers loaded up on them. Maybe not as many people will be looking to load up this time?

With this one, everybody assumes it will have a much higher mintage so maybe there won't be as much interest? I'm sure there will be more than 100k needed to meet demand, but I'm wondering if it doesn't go as high as everybody thinks. I like that they stuck with these display boxes too. They are extremely nice. This was a smart move on their part to somewhat make up for everybody that wanted in but didn't get their 25th sets last year.
