C'mon guys. This is so far off topic on something that was necromancer'd to begin with. I personally don't care who is right because you're both more concerned with being right than benefiting people reading this thread. Do the world a favor and kill your egos.

I hear you babe, but you know what, this thread was started 3 months ago when I stopped in here and was getting rather contentious back then, to say the least. So I'm not the one who has either initiated this thread or kept in burning all this time. Hopefully, however, I've laid out enough actually sources that someone truly interested in the issue can actually read some comprehensive information on the ABC's of how monetary policy and money actually works, instead of hearsay and conjecture.

As for having an Ego, maybe :) I bow to the conceit ..

    Have a great holiday.

I'm just a lowly auto union retiree but I know we are no longer a republic or even a democracy. We have become an oligarchy and the TBTF banks write the rules. Everyone knows the rest, private profits for the status quo and public bailouts when they fail. Your signature is right on, is there a citation?

"The tremendous problem we face is that we are becoming sharecroppers to our own cultural heritage -- we need the ability to participate in our own society."

    I am the citation :)

Its a reference to copyright and information law.

Though I might be flattered that you made 9 posts about me, lets summarize this litany of posts (remembering that you say you post facts not opinions)

You have proved my point exactly. As I said earlier the only two things you have stated in this topic relative to this topic are that
    1. You state that government taxation can affect the worth of the currency of its central bank.
    2. You believe gold & silver are useless for money
Without proof you are stating opinions, and the weblink from the physics teacher disagrees with you. I disagree with you on point #1 as well. You are entitled to your opinion about gold & silver but it makes one wonder why you are posting in a gold & silver bullion forum except to troll.

Nothing in those 9, posts changes this. In fact it's the type of thing that people do who can't defend their points.

Some advice. If you can't speak for yourself and instead can only copy and paste what someone else says, then not only do you not have any credibility, but you now also have to defend that of whatever site you googled up. Try working on a basic education about currency and bullion and you won't be left with having to cut and past stuff from physics teachers on the internet.

Out of respect for the others on this forum I won't respond to you again unless you have an actual point relative to the OP.

The "charmin index," I like that. Unlike milk or bread which is produced locally, this commodity is national in scope. Although we are not in the "Ultra class" there are 254 sheets in the "Basic" roll X rolls per package / cost. Guessing the retail price, I would say we get 4.5 sheets to the penny or 450 per dollar.

So it appears we would need hyperinflation for the day you imagine. The sheet countdown begins....:bart:

What is more perplexing is the absence of the "Petrodollar" in this discussion.

Though I might be flattered that you made 9 posts about me, lets summarize this litany of posts (remembering that you say you post facts not opinions)
Oh God – Two days off for Passover and this is what I have to look forward to coming back to. Do you do this too everyone on cointalk, or just those of us who actually can lay down the documentation that you refuse to read.
You should know that everyone is intimidated by your fluster and distortions.
The reason for posting 9 messages was to underline how many times you’ve been overtly dishonest in this thread, specifically and especially when you misrepresent what I said, which is despicably dishonest, and then make claims like you read the some 500+ pages of technical information that was provided to you that proves, with annotation, and without a doubt, that your fundamentally wrong about Money, which you insist has to be gold, Taxes, that you insist can’t be collected as income taxes if we use gold instead of real money, and that the guy who is writing and annotating those works, according to you, is a “physics teacher” although he IS really a rocket scientist and responsible, literally, for the engineering feat of putting man on the moon.
Here is the real question. You do believe that we put man on the moon, right?
Now here is the best part of this response by you and an example of why this thread has been going on for THREE MONTHS. You believe that it is effective conversation and fair debate for you to set yourself up as judge and jury over the validity of any information that is passed to you, as to if it is truth, or “opinion”.
Now that is how it might work in Fatima world, but in the real world, we depend of something called “peer review”, documentation, and verifiable fact.
You refuse to take from anyone support for information, and then you called peer review and verifiable information with annotation as
If you can't speak for yourself and instead can only copy and paste what someone else says, then not only do you not have any credibility, but you now also have to defend that of whatever site you googled up. “
Truthfully, that is mind numbing. So far, conversations with you go like this.

Ruben: Hey – the world is actually round.
Fatima: No – that is your opinion, not a fact.

Oh – No – that is a fact and here is a photograph from NASA that proves it:

Fatima: " Hopefully, however, I've laid out enough actually sources " <-- Opinion

Like Kojak used to say “Fatima, Who loves you baby!!” Guys like you come and go, but I’ve been on this beat for almost a decade now So take some advise, clean up your act and play fair and square or there will be no tootsie roll pops for you!
    1. What you posted is that you read the link and understood it.<-- Opinion
Ah – how nice of you too suffer my “opinion” that you didn’t read the hundreds of pages of annotated research that was resented to you, like you said you did, and then called the researcher a “physics teacher”, which BTW by its self likely far more professional of a professional then you display, even though you mean it as a put down, and then misquote him.
Yes – that usually causes most education people to believe your a lier.
    2. Evidently, you failed to do either.BTW - that is another misrepresentation which completely underscores your questionable character. Nobody here, Fatima, is going to buy into this. <-- Opinion
That is right. I’m calling you on it. You didn’t bother to read it, and you didn’t understand it, and then you lied about it. My 16 year old has betters manners.
    3. I believe this was the first misrepresentation that was made. ... sigh <-- Opinion
Since you didn’t adequately quote anything here, who knows what your talking about. can’t you even quote correctly if your going to tell me that factual events are my “opinion”.
    4. (copy & pasted someone elses website and stated that because you can't read it fast then nobody can)<-- Opinion
Peer reviewed annotationed information, baby. Get used to see it because I tend to through it around a lot when people say stupid things and then bully others.
    5. I posted this just to give everyone an idea of HOW obsurd it is that you claim to have read this and understand it. <-- Opinion
What’s wrong Fatima? Its my opinion that I posted it because I felt is was necessary for folks to see how you lied in this thread? Because, yeah, that is my opinion because, strangley enough, I actually remember posting it.
    6. Just to underscore it again, incase you missed the point<-- Opinion
Is this the same opinion as the last one or a new one that your making up?
    7. Hopefully, however, I've laid out enough actually sources that someone truly interested in the issue can actually read some comprehensive information on the ABC's of how monetary policy and money actually works, instead of hearsay and conjecture.<-- Opinion
Ah – you got me. It is MY opinion that I hopefully posted enough peer reviewed, annotated documentation to educate someone. See, Fatima, that is how we do it in the real world.
    8. (copy & pasted a website without any context)<-- PMS?
    9. "The tremendous problem we face is that we are becoming sharecroppers to our own cultural heritage .....<-- Opinion"
That is right. That is my opinion and has nothing to do with this thread, but with laws like SOPA and the DMCA. You’ll have to start another thread if you want to talk about this.
You have proved my point exactly. As I said earlier the only two things you have stated in this topic relative to this topic are that
    1. You state that government taxation can affect the worth of the currency of its central bank.
No, Babe, I said that if government wants to increase the value of the dollar on world markets all it needs to do is increase taxes and remove the dollars from the market I then ANNOTATED this and sent you a huge link on money and finance that you refused to read, and then you lied to us that you did read the link. BTW – Cloudsweeper, who is someone I NEVER agree with, told you exactly the same thing, despite that he supports the gold standard because this is FUNDEMENTAL to understanding real money.
    1. You believe gold & silver are useless for money
Yeah – show me that? That is a typical perversion of someone elses words, something you constantly do here.
Without proof you are stating opinions, and the weblink from the physics teacher disagrees with you. I disagree with you on point #1 as well. You are entitled to your opinion about gold & silver but it makes one wonder why you are posting in a gold & silver bullion forum except to troll.
I will post wherever I want to, and it is none of your business where and when I post.
Nothing in those 9, posts changes this.
What is THIS? Do you even understand the topic of conversation at this point, or are you just trolling?
In fact it's the type of thing that people do who can't defend their points.

    Some advice.
You’re giving advise? You haven’t even yet figured out how to evaluate a peer reviewed and annotated resource and your giving ME advise. Let me give you advice. DON’T LIE. I love yah Babe. But your like a junkie on junk. You just can’t stop, but I believe that you have the power to change.

You can’t respect someone else until you respect yourself first.

In order to have that discussion, you have to have people who accept certain facts that are not commonly held or understood by people regarding the USD and its role as a reserve currency. They still hold the view that the USD's worth is represented by the "good faith of the US government".

As we have seen from the discussion here, we have people who are pretty clueless about about these matters and thus such a discussion would get bogged down by a lot of name calling, battles of the web links, and outright trolling. They simply won't believe there is any such thing as a gold - USD - oil triad and its enablement by the central banks. The Bernank could come here and say it himself and it would not matter.

I thought you said you were done, or was that yet another "misstatement" from you along with taxes and the gold standard, dollars in the market place, who a physics teacher is and isn't?
    ?

If I take some time I can think of other "misstatements" you've made.

The "Petrodollar" was a brilliant scheme of Henry Kissinger when Nixon killed Benton Woods. With it, the Fed now had to satisfy the world's need for dollars and did so by gladly cranking up the printing presses. It has now lasted longer than BW, but when the "cows come home" (dollars) the good times will be over.
With that said I must close with one of his quotes....."To be absolutely certain of something, one must know everything or nothing about it." I hope someone would like to tell us how the petrodollar pertains to this thread.
