Ok, Someone has to say it. How is this "the worst experience ever". The post office makes a mistake and a very honest person mistakenly opens your package, leaves a note and said that they are sorry. They do not touch a single coin and it all gets delivered to you in perfect condition. I would think it is a good experience that you did not get ripped off. Sort of makes you have a little faith in human nature. Half Full\Half Empty I guess Mike
Well, the OP is obviously nervous at the prospect that neighbors know what he collects and keeps around the apartment. Given that, I think detailing a lot of much "worse experiences" will probably make him feel worse, not better...
But posting on an online public forum where the whole world can see what he collects is not a concern?
Well, I will admit that the chances of getting burglerized went up slightly, but I mean very very slightly, nothing to get bent out of shape over. If it happend to me, I would just be thinking of the good fortune that I had since I recieved all my coins intact when they could have easily gone missing. YMMV
Ya got me. I'm one of 4.7 million Wisconsinites. I'm not inviting you to rob me, but I am conscious of what info I release on forums. But, then again I do have several numismatic publications coming to my address. I guess that's what a safe and insurance are for.
I think I know this one. Joe and Bob's Plumbing sent you a package, the maintenance department thought there were some parts they needed to fix the shower in 216, opened the box and were very disappointed to find some weird round things in the box, looked at who it was addressed to and sent it to the correct receipient. How close was I? In all seriousness, I'm glad you got your silver.
