    eBay's directions:

    To set a reserve price:
    1. Go to the Sell Your Item form.
    2. On the Create your listing page, scroll down to the Choose how you'd like to sell your item section.
    3. Click the Add or remove options link, select Reserve Price, and then click the Save button.
    4. To enter your reserve price, click the Change link next to No Reserve price set for this item.
    5. Enter a reserve price, and then click the Save button.

    Hope that helps,
    jello

Immediately above the block that you put your price into is a link "Add or remove options".
Click there and your problem is solved.

Here's what I see in the create-your-listing page:

    pricing-section.png

You can click Add or remove options at the top of the section, or you can just click Change next to "No Reserve price set for this item".

Here's what I see when I click Add or remove options:

    There's a checkbox for setting a reserve.

Here's what I see when I click Change next to "No Reserve price set for this item":

Either of these ways should work. What part aren't you seeing?

So, here's what I'm doing. I click where it says sell, and go to "sell an item". Then I fill out everything on the "Describe it" form. Then it takes me to the "Price it" form. I'm assuming that is where I would set a reserve, but I can't. And I just took the time to read every word visible on that page. There is no "Add or remove options"

I don't see any of that at all.

I'm clearly using a different form to set up my auction, but its the only one I see. And there is most certainly no "Add or remove options" link.

Aha! I see something different -- but I just noticed there's a link at the top that says "Switch to simple form". When I click on that, I get this message:

I did the switch, and now I see a different form, sure enough -- and it has the simplified options you describe.

There should be a link at the top that says Switch to form with more choices. Is there a link like that at the top of the page you're seeing? If there is, click it, and you should see a form with the options we've been describing.

ebay is really ****ing me off today. I went to their FAQs. Apparently this is their new simpler form, which is not the one I want, because you don't have the option to set a reserve. But it says in there that you can click on "opt out" to go back to the old form. But I don't see any "opt out" link. Grrr.

They tell me there is an opt out link, but there isn't. I didn't want this crappy new form to begin with. Is there a number I can call to cuss somebody at ebay out? :D I'm just frustrated, because it seems like they're making it hard to find the proper form on purpose.

Ebay never makes some things easy. I wanted to call them one day and just kept clicking and clicking to try to find a phone number. Finally after about 45 minutes I found it. It is now entered into my phone so I always have it.
