2012 american silver eagle (struck at san francisco mint)

    I was looking at the APMEX site and noticed they had 2012 sealed ase tube's from SF mint stating that
    (until now, no silver american eagles have been minted in san francisco since 1992) is this right?

    It would be correct if we could get everyone on the planet to agree the year 2011 never existed.

    I'm new to collecting ASE's starting with the 2011 25th anniversary set, so I presume you
    are refering to the anniversary S

    Oh; in addition to the anniversary S, there were bullion silver eagles minted at San Francisco last year, but they had no S mint mark.

    This San Fran has no "S" mint mark..

    I think this is a scam. With no "S" mint mark these coins are vertically identical to one's struck elsewhere. A "label" is not a collectors item.

    But not horizontally identical!

    They came in sealed Monster Boxes to the TPGs ;)
