Now I'm really going to tick you off..........

The Mint also issued a 4-medal wildlife series in silver proof with Teddy Roosevelt, an avid hunter and founder of the National Park System, shown standing on one side, one medal with an eagle, one with an elk, one with a wolf and one with a salmon (I think those were the four). I bought these for $4.95 each, and I don't have photos of these either.

Interesting things I'm hearing about these. Now I'm thinking about picking up one of each just for the heck of it. But is it wrong for me to like the reverse more?

Absolutely not! I like the reverses the best, too. :thumb:

Yes indeed. That is a photo of Mae West and W.C. Fields from the movie "My Little Chickadee".

I used to pick these up on Ebay for about $10 a piece.

Don't worry. Today the terms "coin alignment" and "medal alignment" make sense in very few countries only. Most countries (not the US though) make their coins in what Americans call medal orientation. :D

Nice! I can't decide if I like the one on top or the one at the bottom the best. I don't care for the one in the middle (although I own it).

Well, I did manage to find the elk in my old picture files.

These were silver. As I remember it, only the bald eagle was available in bronze Chris.

The eagle I have is the silver proof. I didn't know there was a bronze one.

I have the smaller 1 5/16 of Lincoln. I got it when I was 10 years old (1986). My family and I were visiting Lincoln's home in Springfield IL and I bought it at the gift shop there. It was the first medal/coin I ever bought with my allowance.

It looks like Teddy might be playing a little pocket pool. Green18, nice camera I see there. Looks like a Canon Shure Shot Digital Elph?

Lol...good thing he was wearing clothes! There was an eBay ad some years ago where the guy was photographing silver (or something like that) on a dining room table. The guy was buck naked and you could see his reflection in the china cabinet glass! :too-funny:
