Brilliant predictor of the future of Gold and Silver framed by the FBI, or extreme right wing racest rightfully imprisoned for murder for hire? Thoughts and opinions please.

His Silver predictions begin at the 4:30 mark. (He aired this in 2005)

Looking at this with the perspective of hindsight ( I played about 1/2) of it, It seems that he was certainly predicting the coming years. And looking with hindsight, everybody who had a chance to sell homes with the height of the market should have, with the proceeds going to renting a place and buying silver and gold. Anyone who did that would have been a winner.

It is interesting that he basically postulates that the price of silver and gold are skyrocketing due to them being the harbingers of inflation in our economy rather than the dollar bill. That instead of runaway inflation seen in a hyperinflated money system of a country, it's being seen in the Precious Metal market, but that in reality, the market is simply hiding the high inflation we are going through. Also in the price of things that we will continue to consume, but that is outpacing any increase in living (i.e., gas prices for cars), and in effect also deflates the dollar by decreasing what the dollar can buy.

That could be happening, which of course time will tell, but he is either being spot on and has a basis for it, or he is simply a person who chose one of a 50/50 chance of being right in his prognostications, and happened to be "correct".

Now as far as your question as to "who he is", I don't know, as I never heard of him before, and don't have information that will help me determine that.

Not that familiar with him but it is interesting his wife supports him even though FBI claims he hired assassin to kill her, goes to show how easy it is for government to throw someone in for life. All they have to do is convince a convicted murdered facing death to falsely testify that plaintiff hired them to kill some people in exchange for life in prison rather than death sentence. Fyi that tactic was used to bring down a lot of the mob bosses...

I don't know much about him. From what I gather, he is a nut job, but made very open and correct statements regarding the future of silver and gold and silver as early as 1999. He even published a few books on the subject. The conspiracy theory is that he started speaking openly against the government + currency manipulation, and was subsequently framed by the FBI and sentenced to 50 years in prison for a murder to higher plot as a way to silence him. From what I can find, he is an extremist, but aside from that is dead on when it comes to silver.

But even a stopped clock is dead on twice a day.

And if every one who spoke openly against the government and manipulation was framed by the FBI, there wouldn't be any bullion forum members left.

    IMO :)

That was a lot of false propaganda spewed by Realtors and even pundits on TV that home is investment and housing value will always go up and every American should own a house. This notion was supported by government, primarily because house means a lot more $$$ in governments' pocket books. Some of property taxes in places like chicago suburbs are over 10k annual for 3k sq ft house. If you factor in property taxes, maintenance costs etc house is not an investment it is place to live in :p.

That was exactly what I was going to write, but now I can't. ;)

Surely there are better role models for investment advice.

I do believe this guy is a lot of hype. In looking closer, it appears that he is using his silver predictions as a front for his larger motivation which is anti-government. With that being said, is a conspiracy theory like this out of the realm in today's environment? Take the "framing" out of the equation. Let’s just say that the government will in some way benefit from silver shorts. Let’s say for instance, that the government is using the shorts to stack up on physical silver, or has been in the past. Is this entirely out of the question? Even if it is true is this a bad thing? I believe at this point the fed needs to be looking at every possible option available in order to balance the budget. I agree with you that he is certainly no role model, but with the volatility in today’s market is the rational person really going to be the duck that makes it down the stream first?

They have a much safer, almost foolproof way to reap the rewards of silver. The 25th anniv. series had about $150-170 of silver selling out for $ 300 . Now that they see that their limited edition of the anniversary series is selling for much above that on the open market, why not issue the next series of "different finishes" for 3 or 4 times the amount of the price of the silver in them, say $499 or if silver goes up a couple of bucks $799 or $899. With only 80,000 sets or less available for each "new finish, font, or special mark, they will reap far more than any shorting scheme and quite legal.

Maybe this was the first strike ( excuse the pun) to see how far they can go before people catch on :)

If the government wants silver all they have to do is say that it's needed for "defense" and simply seize all the silver bars in the Comex warehouses. They will settle it with the owners by handing them some linen with a dead president's portrait on it.

You're right. The Gov't doesn't need to play make money on different schemes when they can just seize things for national security, national defense, or eminent domain.

50 years for planning to kill your wife.

kill your wife [O.J.Simpson] and you walk away a free man.

Something very wrong here. Free speech is only free for those who qualify.

The suit didn't instill a lot of confidence in me. I try an look beyond all that, but I seriously have trouble paying attention to any financial analyst in a cheap suit. Either wear an Armani, or a pair of golf slacks for me to believe you can handle money. But not a J. C. Penney special. Heck, that's what I wear ! I expect advisors to do better than me.

Really? That is interesting. I used to assign an old 1930's article entitled, "Where are your clients yachts?". It basically dealt with the premise that why do we expect our money managers to be wealthy when in fact all of their wealth comes from managing our money?

I certainly wouldn't pass judgement on a man because he wore a cheap suit.
I know lot's of trustworthy people who got rich by hard work and there ability to save money by not spending it on expensive suits.
How he acts in a cheap suit is more indicitive of what kind of man he is and this man seems to be his own worst enemy although a lot of what he says is true. His problem is he is making statements which are not acceptable in the politically correct society we live in. I can't fault him for still believing there is freedom of speech when, in reality, there is no such thing.
