2011 ASE 25th Anniversary Set (A25) - Order thread

It's way too quiet here. I'm assuming nobody has seen movement today. I'm still on backorder.

I don't think there are many waiting that have not either received their orders or received a Dear John

I remember on several of my other US Mint orders, I did not see an update in my status until 10pm or later. They must do a bulk computer update about that time.

I'm thinking that my backorder message in my order history has been there so long perhaps it can't change. I think it's burned into my computer screen. I hope to Heaven the mint doesn't keep track of the times I sign in and check my order status. lets see....5 times a day for what...35 days plus...175 times....yikes. I need a life beyond this ordeal.

 

Mine A25 order has been delivered/received! Ahhhh! Finally. However, I'll be away for a couple more weeks, so I will be opening my box containing two sets over the Christmas holidays.

 

Order 38390xxx (very low xxx's) has been pushed back to 12/20................

 

looks like no movement on orders today, why would they take this long its been over a month, from the canceled orders to the ones on backorder id say theres about 1k orders alive?

 

at least they are still alive ! lets keep the faith 1 more week

 

It's time to rally our ever dwindling troops. Maybe tomorrow is the day. I read on another forum that someone was contacted yesterday about a credit card glitch on an order placed sooner than ours. He received it as an urgent email. After it was resolved, the sets were shipped today. Which means there are some sets left at least. Until I get that cancel email, I will not roll over. I think when this is over with we should sue the mint for pain and suffering.

 

Based on the info I've come across, there appears to be a 5500 order window.

38395xxx dear john letter 6:30

 

I've seen that too and it seems like filling all of these is unlikely but that's what they said about the 5:30 orders. Mine is at 6:04 with order 38390xxx. Would you happen to know when the 6:30 order got a dear john letter?

 

This morning it said "backordered expected to ship 12/21/11 (383940xx)
I wanted to have this by christmas but it looks like thats not going to happen!

I'm wondering if the Mint is pulling filing cabinets away from the wall or something, to see if a couple of last sets may have fallen behind them?

"Pain and suffering" . . . I think you can get them for cruel and unusual punishment! LOL

 

The dear john letter at 6:30 was sent on 11/24. I have not run across any earlier cancellation letters. Sure is quite out there.

 

It's called: Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress. Are you under a doctors care?
