I like those charts posted earlier today.

Another chart which may be interesting (and easy to make with the available data) would be the price spread between a PCGS 70 set and an NGC 70 set.

Right now, it seems the PCGS 70 sets go for $100-$200 more on average (just ballparking it), but I'm thinking that spread will increase significantly down the road based on how PCGS has seemed to tighten up on giving out 70s in recent weeks and based on how loose NGC seems to be in giving out 70s in comparison. I've recently seen NGC 70 coins from these sets in hand and on eBay with clear hits, breaks in the satin finish and small scuffs... you rarely see those same issues on a PCGS 70.

When I first joined this site I read a post about if it won't pass on TV in the 50's it's no good for here.

To the moon Alice (punch wife)

I need to watch that show to learn the rules here.

I convinced that Guano is bitter because he missed out on the 25th set and
is simply trying to convince himself that he is better off for it by trying to
make others look like fools for buying into it.

Last 5 auctions that I can find:

    $1,497.50
    $1,480.55
    $1,575.00
    $1,475.00
    $1,676.00

The auction that you're referring to was a bit of a screw-up by the seller. 1) he didn't use the word "coin" anywhere in the title and 2) he made a typo listing it as PF670.

Just like I was when I told you guys the same about the ATB set.
I'm a stacker not a collector. But I won't ***** when some of my bullion turns into collectibles....I don't like paying an extra $135 for a pretty box.

Half the sellers don't use the word "coin"! I sold 5 sets without the word "coin", got $900 for one. No need to use the word "coin"!

    Pictures showed a 70!

NGC 70 constantly below 1500. They are still headed down, with a 69 set going for $778.

Look at the figures with your head, not your wishful heart.

Pictures don't matter a fig when it comes to search terms. Looking for (e.g.) "25th anniversary eagle set ngc ms70 pf70" wouldn't return that set to even see the pretty pictures. Not everyone would be using broad search terms, and if you notice the auction in question only attracted 4 bids. The latest 5 that I posted had 22, 14, 1 (BIN), 1 (BIN) and 16 respectively. My broader point was that it's pretty disingenuous to find the lowest sale of the day, complete with typos, and use it to go "neeerrrrr neeerrrrr".

My heart isn't remotely wishful btw, I have one opened set for my collection and 19 sealed sets that are staying that way for months if not years. I'm not playing the grading game and honestly couldn't care less what graded sets are selling for, especially during the time of peak supply.

Yes, NGC 70s are at/around $1,500 and...? I'm actually slightly surprised they're even that much given that NGC is giving out 70s like candy. Nice for the sellers though, they're working with a base cost of $385 inc. grading fees.

Given that you have a number of similar posts containing the lowest sale(s) you could find on a particular day, you may want to take your own advice here?

Um, very few of us "paid" for anything, in fact we were PAID to buy these sets after all is said and done. So I'm not sure what exactly you're talking about...

There have been six eBay auctions for NCG 70 sets close this afternoon with no takers at $1,372 ($1399.99 - $28 eBay Bucks).

I have 8 sealed sets left. Neither you nor I know where these will end up. Aren't you the guy/girl that wants to bet everyone in 10 years they'll be at $10,000? LMAO.

Your posts lose all their credibility when in the face of prices going down, you refuse to acknowledge that fact. You are the most unrealistic, biased cheerleader on here.

Put down your poms-poms and look at the graphs provided herein. Hopefully you can learn something. Sorry lad, your input lacks any real substance.

Are you for real? Find one price prediction that I've made on these. Go ahead. I'll be waiting. I was willing to bet Guano that he won't be able to buy a raw set for his ridiculous melt + 5% prediction, or even $400 or less, in the next 2 years. Here's the post: http://www.cointalk.com/t194286-44/#post1316140

Bit of a far cry from betting "everyone in 10 years they'll be at $10,000" isn't it?

I've looked at the graphs, and took the time to thank the poster for them. I've acknowledged that prices are falling, also said that I'm surprised the NGC 70s are as high as they are, but that's tempered with the caveat that we're at the point of maximum supply right now.

In short I'm not cheerleading, have no need to, have no skin in the game with graded sets, and haven't made anything approaching the remarks or bets that you're attempting to attribute to me. So please save your condescending, self-important, made-up claptrap for someone who gives $0.02 what you think "lad".

I had to laugh out loud at how you can't refute the cold hard graphs. You can't argue the facts, so you personally attack me. Speaks volumes about your character. You lose.

thanks. I don't mind giving someone a little profit but I don't want the set that badly. for that kind of money (1,400) I'll buy gold.
