With 160+ pages, just the first one on each page should give sufficient statistics to see trends, so yes, I would be interested in such a chart.
This is likely due to the drop in price for 70 sets, and the difficulty putting together a full set. At this point it is still a money maker though.
By the way, I have had strong interest in the MS70 bullion and PF70 proof coins that I sold. I even had someone email me to ask if I had any more. I was selling them for $225 each as BIN. Lots of people needing to complete sets I guess. If only the MS70 S mint coin was cheaper. That is all I need to complete my 70 set.
Not sure I understand the question, but the supply and demand ratio will be the only thing that will cause the 70 sets to raise in value. They have dropped like a rock over the weekend, but I am hoping its because lots of people forgot about coins and celebrated the holiday. I sold my 2 69 sets and 5 assorted 70 coins, all for prices I am happy with. The rest seem to be floundering. I can't believe that there isn't more demand for the S mint coin. Prices are abhorrent right now.
I sold 1 set of MS/PF 70's for ~$1900 last Thursday the day after I got my grades. I'm hoping they arrive soon, not sure how much longer I can put the buyer off. Hopefully he/she isn't too brutal with their feedback. Since I've almost covered my initial investment, I'm in no hurry to flip them. My guess is that prices will stabilize within the next few months and start moving higher, especially if spot silver starts moving higher again. If not, then I've 20 oz of silver that cost me almost nothing, either way it was an awesome gift from the mint! After all the money I've spent with these guys, it's about time they gifted me.
Current Coin World ad from Paul Sims offers MS/PR NGC 70 sets for $1,595. Saw several selling on eBay this afternoon for $1,500. Gravity effect on these "70" sets is really being felt...based on initial reports of high yields of 70's from the TPG's? I'm guessing you'll be able to pick up a 70 set for around $1,200 by January.
Prices on graded sets had leveled out for the last couple of days, but today the fall resumed. PCGS 70 chart: 126 total sets
this set of 70's ended at $1576 this morning. thats down $1,000 from when they were selling for $2,500 http://www.ebay.com/itm/13060909894...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3027wt_1398
this guy had his sealed box x-rayed, maybe he is a doctor. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-SEALED-UN...Individual&hash=item4cfc37a6f6#ht_1184wt_1398
That x-ray of the unopened box is hilarious! At least you know that all the coins are in their holders! (That is until it gets shipped a second time)
These sets were so concentrated in so few hands that there are currently over 900 ads for them on eBay! How long do you think it will take for these sets to “dry up” so we can get an idea of what price they’ll settle at? I'd like to sell a couple sets, but not when the market is flooded at depressed prices.
