My order number is 38386XXX ordered at 5:45. Currently still backordered and expected ship date is now 12/05/2011.

Mine's on your list: 38394xxx -0rdered 10/27 at 6:24P

 

My friend's 38390 order has now been pushed back to 12/05. I'm not putting much hope in that order shipping out. I've decided not to grade my 5 sets. I'll wrap up the box and give it to my son for his Xmas present.

Well we will either be in together or out together as mine is right by yours.

mine came last week. problem though. the airtite for the san fran is cracked on the reverse edge.
course of action?

Notice on the mint site about my order: Order#38398074 cancelled. Item officially out of stock.

 

I wonder if you called the mint and explained that one of the capsules was cracked, if they would send you a replacement. It would be worth a try. and might save you time and money. I'm not sure, but I think that these capsules might be special so they fit correctly in their slots.

The same thing happened to me when I ordered a silver coin from the Royal Mint earlier this year. Those capsules are definately special made. I called them and had one come in the mail in just a few days.

Yes, the capsules the mint uses are different, you can't buy them from a regular dealer.

Yup, I also noticed that whoever placed the coins into the capsules did it wrong! It should be flipped around, maybe it was just mine but all five sets were the same. The side with the raise ring should be face down when looking at the display board IMO. There are a second set of recessed rings and it fits a lot better. Could be a reason why those coins became loose while in shipping.
