Thanks for posting the initial results, BuyingSilvers.
Given the high percentage of 70s, it is reasonable, in my opinion, for sealed sets to sell at a price that is meaningfully above that of a pf69/ms69 set.

I was unable to place an order in time on Oct 27. However, if I had a set, I would probably submit it to PCGS instead of NGC.

Just finished packaging mine. Off they go to NGC first thing in the AM.

  6. It looks as if mint quality is really good for this set. That is a high percentage of 70's at least to start. TC

Agreed! Besides it just only a waste of Money to sent it to the TPG. I rather to keep it on hand and look the boxes is so beautiful to keep. :thumb::thumb:

I really don't care about "First strike" so other than this, what is the advantage of grading now?
Are the graders less discriminant now because of the high demand?

With a sealed box of 5 sets, it appears getting a 70set are good whenever they are graded. And as a bonus the (S) may be recognized either as a third unique coin or at least confirmed as coming from SF mint sometime in the future.

Anyway I'm sitting on my sealed box and I will store it in a "Space Bag" with more gel packs. Which leaves me to ask, are there commerical services that offer special order vacuum packing for the public?

Given PCGS' FS marketing effort, it would be very interesting to see if the percentage of FS 70s is meningfully higher than the percentage of non-FS 70s.

Those are amazing grades! I already posted a set of 69s presale on eBay, now I'm not sure I'll get one - maybe I'll have to buy one in a couple weeks to fill that order haha. Fingers crossed - this is starting to feel like Vegas!

I don't know how anyone can call you greedy as your wanting to have the contest for a 2k plus item and only charge 600...lol
I'd say the contest prize is 1,400!! That's not greedy at all.

Congrates on the grades! Good things come to good people. Some call that Carma :D

Thanks Duke..Well one coin the Regular Proof 2011-W will be PF69 and the rest MS70 and the Reverse Proof 70 but I still think about a grand I am leaving off the table :)

A more than fair and generous offer to someone that didn't get a set from the mint, and miles away from greed. In fact, some folks would say your prices are insane. Do ya remember Crazy Eddie tv commercials? :)
