Nah, this time we have the 1995W and the 2006 set with settled prices to guide us. Based on those 2 examples, the 2011 set should settle between 1k to 2k.

Well there have been at least a dozen that I and others have seen today that have gone 0 bids at $600. Looks like the average price on eBay for these "promises" to deliver coins, have dropped to about $535.

As I said earlier in this topic, if you plan to make some money on this, you better be at the leading edge of the flipping bubble and not the back end.

Another one to look at though not an exact duplicate is the 2001 Buffalo 1oz round:

The proof silver dollar is available during the pre-issue period for $33 and for $37 thereafter. The uncirculated silver dollar is available for the pre-issue price of $30 and $32 thereafter. During the pre-issue period, the Two-Coin Set is available for $59.95 and for $64.95 thereafter. The Coinage and Currency Set will be available for $54.95 during the pre-issue period and for $59.95 thereafter. To qualify for pre-issue discount prices, orders must be postmarked or received no later than July 25, 2001.

In it's original packaging w/COA these things run around $130 and actually seem to sell better in original state then the ones sent in and slabbed.

Certain coins in this country are timeless....The buffalo s .05 Morgans, Franklins and yes ASE's. Another thing this shows me along with the 2006 set's is original packaging and un-slabbed will do just as well as sending them in for grading.

Why compare to foreign issues and commemoratives? Compare the 2011 set to other ASE's, namely the 1995W & 2006 set.

535? I've seen none sell for under 571 all day .........average has been 600+

Something tells me with all your talk of selling them fast or not making any money you either already sold yours for way too little money or you didnt get any to begin with and are just bitter .

Tell him when he runs out I'll sell him all my sets for 800 a piece and he can flip them for 1500

LOL! If he's getting $1,500, I'd want more than $800. For that matter, I rarely sell anything to a dealer, I'd probably get more on eBay.

Haha, I'm not kidding.... he can sell them for whatever he wants at 800 piece he can have them all

So my order status now says "In process" instead of on hold. Does that mean im getting a set?

Just using it as an example where certain pieces will hold up over time over others, a lot of the commemorative pieces end up a little above or at spot over time while a few others that have a "name" Buffalo for example will surpass expectations...the eagles are just that and I expect this set to grow accordingly.

I think so as well. This is probably the auction he was talking about. This seller sold one for $645 and one for $535. Doubt there is very many 0 bids at $600s either as I dont recall seeing any... Sometimes, an item will end with 0 bids because the seller pulled the auction for one reason or another.

I looked through 10 pages of completed auctions. Seems like ebay is flooded with people selling these sets. They're all in the $550 - $650 range. $600 is probably the average.

If I had to make an unscientific guess, prices may be stuck in this range through to the end of the year as the market digests the deluge of flippers before heading upwards. I remember the same thing happened with the UHR gold eagles. As soon as the thing came out, everyone was flipping it, trying to make a quick hundred or two. It was only afterwards that the price started moving upwards.

FYI I'm watching DSTV's coin show on DirecTV channel 320. They are selling sets for $799 right now...and are asking if anyone in the audience scored at the mint to call in and they would make them very happy if they wanted to sell any of them.
