I wonder what the earliest known legitimate order number is? Earlier I read about 27,xxxx orders were accepted before the cut off.
Remember guys, the mint stated, in their press release last August, that these sets would begin delivery in late November. They'll keep pushing the date on the order back on a daily basis till you receive a "shipped" notice. They've nearly a month to make good on what they stated in the release.
Order Status: Your order request is in process. expected ship date 11/15/11 a step in right direction. i hope. I can go fishing all day with the best patience . but with this i have little. just excited i guess.
I'm on the same boat. Order from the Perth Mint last night was the worse I've experienced. And those were low mintage and I dont expect to make a good profit but we'll see.
Mine has shipped !!!! Was checking UPS tracking when I woke up, it was all a dream. Hate those naps........
Interesting how there is some upward price movement on the 20th anniversary set, and in particular this unopened one going for a hefty premium over it's slabbed counterparts, 16 bidders for 600+ so I am assuming it is real. Kind of makes you wonder if it would be better just leaving them unopened and sold "as is" http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-20th-A...029?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336d8f4d1d
'The Mint uses “hold” to mean that they need time to verify that the order is legitimate (in this case, not more than 5 sets per household) and that the customer’s credit card has sufficient funds. “In process” means that verification has been done, and now all it takes is for the Mint to see if there are enough sets ready for mailing.' My order status just changed to 'order request in progress' My question is how can the mint know that the customer's (me in this case) credit card has sufficient funds without running an actual authorization against my card/account? I checked my my bank account online, but I don't see any pending authorization for the purchase amount. In summary, I'm hoping that 'order request in progress' means that I have passed the funds available/authorization stage, but I'm not sure how it can be. Does any one know if a merchant (like the mint) can check your credit/check card for sufficient funds without actually running an authorization through? Thanks. I take this 'order request in progress' as an encouraging step. Like everyone, I will feel so much better when I see a tracking number and a charge for the purchase against my account. Then, I'll know at last that it's real
LOL. I meant to say that my order status reads: ' your order request is in process' (not 'progress'). But I think I am talking about the same message that other posters have received.
in process my order now says its in process expects to ship on 11/15. There is also a tracking number that when you click it says "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated." I called my CC company today to let them know of this purchase so it would not be a problem.

Smart move calling your credit card company to give them the head's up that the charge is not fraud. I hope to see a link to a tracking number soon, too.
