I agree and thankfully the flippers didn't fall for the vendor's offers which started about $50 over issue price.

At some time true collectors will fall out of bidding and that's when you will see vendors winning at lower prices. I think the winning range is 550 to 650. Under 500 flippers should cut-off their auctions and wait. Dry up the supply and the demand will be greater. Vendors will go crazy if supply goes down. Hit ebay again at Thanksgiving when Christmas shopping begins.

If vendors pay more, the higher the set's value.

I agree. There could be many thousands of people not interested in messing around with this pre-sale BS. As someone else stated, it could be risky waiting so long to get your product and a lot of people aren't going to mess with it. If I needed one, I wouldn't be buying a pre-sale auction and waiting 45 days or more and then hoping the seller ships it. If prices increase as the time gets closer, I'm betting a lot of these pre-sales get canceled and re-listed anyway.

If you're going to buy now, get a seller who is lax with his/her description or one with a guarantee of delivery. Ask for mint order number and tracking number.

If they refuse to deliver for whatever reason, demand the product! They always can purchase on ebay and make you whole.

I've been watching the 25th Anniv. sets on ebay this morning and the prices for these pre-sales are beginning to slide back to around the 550 to 560 range. They were selling for a while pretty regularly in the 600 to 630 range. Fun to watch and learn but what does it really mean for the long term prices? This should be an interesting holiday season to watch what these sets realize. I know that I will be tuned in with a bucket of popcorn and a tall soda.

And, maybe find a seller who has a lot of positive feedback, less likely they won't deliver and take negative feedback. You never know, but this is a low mintage set, so hard to believe prices will ever be lower than they are now, with so many on the market.

When the dragon craze was here, I managed to get a handful and flip them on eBay for around $160-180, a few went closet to $200 for the 2 oz coins. It was all pre-sale which worked great, most if not all the buyers were willing to wait to get their coins. As a seller with 400+ feedbacks, I wouldn't list them for pre-sale unless I had a 100% reassurance that I was going to receive them. Feedback is important to me, so your comment is very true.

Both my orders (5 sets x2) are "in process" so my orders are moving smoothly along. I honestly feel like I should have listed 5 early on to beat out the other sellers and my sets would sell in the higher ranges of $650-750 if I would have listed them. I've decided to hold them till the price range of $800-1k comes around. I rather sell to someone on here then eBay, they take a nice chunk out of fees. When it comes time to sell, I will probably list here first before eBay, at a lower price of course to offset the fees.
