    Hopefully you get one.
Sounds like there are already plenty of 'bad' orders being bumped from what I hear.
I ordered 2 coins, but each on a separate order, and just cancelled one.
There is probably plenty of that going on too, so you should keep up hope.

thanks for the words of hope ... i tried all day!!! I am amazed so many people got through ... I just kept getting "Page is not responding errors" and I have a blazing fast internet connection.

It took me about 15 minutes to make each order.
I wonder if a slightly slower connection lingers at the host site for a few milliseconds longer than 'blazing fast', allowing time for an opening to present itself. I have a relatively slow DSL.

I just checked my order status and even though my order was placed @ 12:17 the expected ship date has been changed to 11/11/11 from 11/10/11. Anyone else notice this?

As a network infrastructure guy and web server admin, I'd have to say no.

<Off Topic Geek Stuff> A web server generally has a limit on the number of client connections that it will accept at any one time. As it approaches that limit, and if the limit is beyond the reasonable capabilities of the hardware, the connections will lag as the server struggles to keep up. Once the connection limit is reached, any further connection requests are ignored until an empty slot opens up. Managing to hit a bogged down server that's at its connection limit, at the precise moment a connection opens up, is pure luck of the draw. Having a Kray supercomputer or an IBM 286, a Gigabit internet connection or dial-up, makes no difference at all. Having multiple browser windows or tabs open and hitting refresh on them as they time out does increase your odds however. </Off Topic Geek Stuff>

Mine too. My order time was about the same as yours as well.

Tomorrow it will say 11/12/11 I think. It will increase by 1 day each day until it ships IIRC.

Just keep hitting "refresh". When that don't work hit the 'back' button. The real trick is to be logged on before kickoff time.....

This type of thing happens all of the time with the mint. They did the same thing to me last year with the ASE proofs. Every day the shipping date was pushed one more back. Finally got it though. :)

  16. I think a mod can edit it as well. TC

It will be interesting to see how many foxes out foxed themselves trying to buy extra sets. I'll go on record right now and say this: If I get my order delivered off of the wait list I'm on, a set will be offered for my contest honoring my 1000th post. I will ask the winner riemburse me just the $299 for it, but I will not make one extra cent off it to the winner. You will have to have 50 posts in order to qualify and participate and you must have joined the forum more than 30 days from the contest date. That will stop outsiders from joining just for the contest. Don't worry, it will still take some time for me to get to 1000. I would want to see this go to a real honest to goodness collector. I feel most of the regulars and current newbies fall into this catagory. And to keep me honest, I will post a copy of either the shipping confirmation or return order notice, from the mint, when I recieve it. Then everyone can do the count down with me as I approach the number. :>) See, this is fun afterall.

Thats a very cool thing to do Sam! I just decided to check the Bay for giggles and it would appear there are now more then 50 25th Anniv. sets on there and they are now bidding in the $800 each range!!!
