you know what the worst thing about having 10 threads on the same topic....I can't figure out which one I was supposed to respond to:D
Anyway it looks like ebay pulled all the presales. I had about 10 in my watchlist and they vanished poof

I understand HOLD means they have not processed it yet. but some people are saying that there expected shipping date is 11-10-11. and mine is 11-11-11.
did not know if there is a difference ! other than the date.
also did not know if 25 is a good #.
people keep speculating when they sold out. i hear 4 1/2 hours and i hear a half hour.

i just wanted some input. with out trolls jumping down my throat.

Presales at noon today - 160+
    Presales now - 15

I'm glad they did it, lots of presale buyers were being disappointed. They paid and no sets, the bay was probably hammered with complaints........

    4 1/2 hours.......:thumb:

I wouldn't pay any attention to shipping dates until your order says IN STOCK RESERVED and the date could move back each day until IN PROCESS.....THEN watch for YOUR ORDER HAS SHIPPED. The Mint will provide UPS tracking info, usually delivers the next day.

Mine also says 11/11/11 and hold, the number 25 is not enough for anyone to seculate on and even then it will only be seculation until they show up on your door step. You are going to have to wait like the rest of us to see if there are any hang-ups on the order process.

Being one of those who placed multiple orders of one set each, I did my best to check this. My orders in the mint website still say "on hold" as they should. I also called the mint, and the nice lady there said that there is no problem as long as my total number of sets is five or less. Maybe those people you mention just thought this was the reason, when it was something else? Cancelling orders of 5 or less to one household would be against their own rules, so I doubt they would resort to that in absence of other markers of rule breaking.

Yeah, I see people calling it an error, but it does sound more like a variety.

If you look at the completed listings, it looks like some of the sellers are canceling their own listings. I sure as heck won't ever sell one for as low as they listed them.

Wow! justed checked, only 3 listed in BIN and prices are way up.

    It's not an error.
    It's a variety.
The VDB cents are a variety, and you can't have a complete set of Wheats without them.

The only error is that some mint employee used the '07 reverse die on the '08 coin. The coin itself is not an error. It's a variety like you and TC stated.......:)

Sorry if this was posted before ... but i think with these low mintage high demand sets, they should limit it to 1 per household -- just so the little guy has a chance. I sat at my computer all day from 1pm to 6pm hitting refresh and didnt finally get their ordering page to respond until almost 6:45pm

So I got my one set ordered ... but it was probably too late in the day to actually get one

    Oh well

You know what's been really hellish of late? Closing down you computer for a spell, and upon firing it up again (later in the day) finding that you've got 85 e-mails all pertaining to subscribed threads like this one. Man this joint is jumping.......:)
