2011 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set

Finally got mine through! Been on since 12:04 pm on multiple browsers but finally got it at 2:40 pm. At about 2:25 I was able to login and add cart and checkout relatively quick but after I hit place/confirm order as the last step, took about 12 min to get through . Only 1 set for me to keep, not gonna get sucked into flipping. Hopefully everyone that want's one is able to get the original price.

I know, I was just commenting on it anyway. I guess I am still excited from getting through after all this buildup. Now the agonizing wait for them to ship. I would guess that 99.9% of orders since noon are for this set.

 

well i have an order for 2 and for 3,never did make it to the final page, only made it to the check out page once. got an email for the 3. who knows what i will get. the mint is lucky they don't have competition.

Same thing happened to me at 12 noon, I hit refresh a rew times but when I got to submit order I actually got 2 different order numbers for the same 5 sets?

Who knows.

 

Your's would make about the 30,000th order placed with the mint since noon Eastern Time. I'm guessing they are completely sold out by now.

 

Will the mint site update the status in the catalog when it sells 100k, or will it have to wait until someone manually changes it? I have to think they are all gone too. Wow, I knew it would be bad but this even surprised me.

 

It’ll probably take a week or two for all this to get sorted out – while the Mint takes into account order duplications, cancellations, bad credit cards etc…

I don’t think anyone will really be safe with their order until the charge shows up on your credit card and you get a FedEx tracking number via email.

The web site is still a zoo. Usually things start to free up a little later in the day. I had better success at 12PM.

 

Well, I'm giving up for now after three hours of getting bounced around on the US Mint site like a ping pong ball. Made it half way through checkout process a couple of time before getting timed out. Life beckons...got to pick up kids from school.
