Would someone who has received one of these coins from US Coins post pictures of what they received. What condition are the coins in? Dates?

    Thank you

I just purchased my ASE for $35.22 which included the shipping charge. Looking forward to receiving it. It will be my first one. Should have bought yesterday but I thought the price would go down more today....oh well. I still think it's a good deal as long as I get the coin.

I saw a gold eagle for like $250. Can you send me the link for the gold eagle you got for $160?
    Thanks

Yeah, I just got my gold eagle today. It's an excellent price given that right now I've seen these for sale at coin shows for over 200 bucks.

Did anyone watch the Discovery Channel Gold Rush show yesterday? I totally makes me want to buy this gold piece. I can't imagine the price of gold to ever go down below $1600 or so. In the next couple years who knows, it could be $2400 like some guy predicted.

Probably the same "some guy" that has said the world is going to end several years in a row now, it is very foolish to just buy things based on some guys prediction of anything.

Apparently they track who orders by email address. I ordered and received both the ASE and the 1/10 AGE. i just did a second order for both using a different email address and the order was accepted. We'll see if they actually deliver.

I'm not considering purchasing just because "some guy" thinks the price of gold will increase to $2400. It would be for investment purposes and to protect against the failing of the US currency. Some day FRN's are going to be absolutely worthless, that is a sad reality.

In that case(Not saying it wont happen), you'd better equal your investment in arms.

I agree, which is also so very sad. On a lighter note, I still would like to have in my collection at least a few gold pieces. I'm sure the kids will love looking at them with me.

I'm not a huge fan of FRNs, but what makes you believe that someday FRNs are going to be absolutely worthless? That is a rather presumptuous view, no?

What do you think their worth is today?

Look what's happening globally, the amount of debt the US has, unemployment, our credit being down graded, trade deficit. How much longer can we continue to print money, overspend, and keep taxes low? Our money is backed by "faith", not gold, how much longer will other countries have faith in our dollar? No one is confident in the economy or our government and how the country is run. Everyone is looking for handouts/freebies. How many people really beleive in the American Dream any longer? Who has enough money to retire? Yes, it is a BOLD statement, but with all the things I mentioned it's downright SCARY, no? Maybe we will all be lucky and it will be worth something, but if we continue down this same path I think trouble lies ahead. Of course this is my opinion and I hope I'm wrong. It also makes you think, why do people invest in PM's, is it to diversify or is to protect themselves from something else happening. Let me know your thoughts.
