I want to order one. but what is the best way ? online or calling in ?

I have an account with them and it would be nice to order online so i can check the status and track it easier. but Im afraid of a system error.

I dont mind calling in but i hope they can link it to my account so i can check the status. i have never called in an order.

I've always placed an order online, but who knows with this one. I imagine it will take forever, same as a phone order.

I understand many believe there will be a quick profit to be made on this set, if there’s an immediate sellout and many are shutout. And, I know many of you don’t believe silver will ever go back to $6/oz. But pretend it did go to $6, then what do you think this set will sell for in the long run? I believe it will still have a numismatic value, but will it stay above $300?

It's been my experience that coins, which hit maximum mintage, are not huge money makers. Remember numismatic value comes from rarity. It's the coins that people don't rush to that rise in value once the mint no longer sells them as the First Spouse buyers have found.

In terms of pricing, the coins are carrying almost a 100% premium over spot. That is a lot of numismatic value that has to be supported by demand. You will probably have a better return if you can find the two unique coins slabbed and graded PF/MS 70.

I would like it if the mint did a registry for sets such as this, place an order, your name is in, if there are 100k people they all get one, if there are 50k people they can have up to 2 each. The mint obviously states that they want all collectors to have an opportunity to buy a set.

Some guys go online and work the phone at the same time. Every time I do it I always get a busy signal with the phone. Better to tough it out online. Besides......I like it in my "order history". Helps me keep track of things. Calling in over the phone doesn't guarantee that an order will appear in your order history with the mint.

This thread started 2 weeks after "free money" and has twice the attention. 12,000 views vs. 6000. Looks like a sellout.

Another indicator is the heavy guest count viewing at this time. 500 vs 75 members.

Yeah I figure there's a good chance that initially prices will rise if many don't get one. But what if silver drops to $6, just give a SWAG? I like to factor in worst case scenarios in my buying decisions.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig," remember these are just collector versions of "BULLION" .

Chill X-15. Some collectors like to augment their purchase by selling off a few extra purchases. Just part of the game.......

I'm chilled. It just doesn't make sense, because people act like they want to make a buck off these sets. But yet they hype it up which you would think it would create more of a sell out. Which means it reduces your chances of even getting a set. And if you do the math, you're not going to make big money. Makes no difference to me, I am not a big ASE collector anyways.

If an ASE collector is not able to purchase a set because of a sellout. They can thank green-18.
