They are going to see less of sales to due the $4.00 shipping cost now. The 1/10 gold eagle isn't looking too bad. Anybody know if they have a Morgan for spot? I read over on Kitco but they removed all the links.
They are probably looking to slow down sales until silver spot comes back up a little. I bet that shipping price doesn't last long.
Picked up my package early today... shipping alone is $7ish $8 bucks. They aren't making much unless the coins were purchased for dirt cheap. That's taking into consideration for ASE alone, but if you ordered the 1/10 then shipping was covered. Either way, you can't lose if you bought when there was no shipping on the ASE.
Still no charge from my bank so I called. I ordered one on 9-26. They said my order was approved and i'd be getting it in 7 to 10 days. She told me they were "inundate" with the success of the promotion
I'm sure the fact that they started their promotion right about the time silver dropped by 25% added an extra turbo boost to the amount of orders they received.
I just placed my order today, what a great deal! Can't wait to get it! Thanks for the post and the feedback ppl!
Are anyone of you guys ordering the Carson City Morgan as well? I've thought about it, but paying that much for my first Morgan is kind of... expensive. LOL
I'm joining this discussion a bit late, so apologies if this has already been discussed: The USPS is actually doing all right except for one thing - they've been required to pre-fund retirement plans (even for employees that they don't have yet). This is a multi-billion dollar push to improve the federal balance sheet at the expense of the USPS. You can read more about it here: http://www.nader.org/index.php?/arc...tured,-Time-to-Stop-Closing-Post-Offices.html Mr. Nader points out that the $103.7 billion prefunding mandate is something that, "no other government or private corporation is required to do and is an incredibly unreasonable burden." He continues by revealing that without this onerous prepayment provision, "the USPS would not have a net deficiency of nearly $20 billion, but instead be in the black by at least $1.5 billion."
Me too and a 2010 also. And thankfully, the $32.04 I spent for it on 9/24 was worth it since spot has jumped to over $32.04 today (well, $32.07 as I write this).
Got my coins yesterday. They are perfect. Paid 29.06 for the ase and 160 for the gold eagle. I see no problems with the deal. It went smooth as silk.
Good to hear people getting their coins and no so much whining like gramps over in the Kitco forums. They are about to have a hernia over there. Lol
Yes, but it doesn't work. You can get as far as the final checkout page and you get the warning message that you have exceeded the allowable order limit.
