Swiss America Groupon for Gold or Silver Investment Coins.

    Two options:
    • For $99, you get $200 worth of gold or silver investment coins.
    • For $199, you get $400 worth of gold or silver investment coins.

    Here is the link:

Question is what PM coins can I get using the Groupon. Anyone knowing anything about this company/website?

They don't tell you what you are getting. It could be gold colored monopoly money or one of those gold plated clad coins from the liberty mint. Investment coin can mean anything.

Definitely read ALL the fine print with that... seems a bit shady/vague..

If you go to around the middle of the page you will see a questions and answers tab. If you click on it you can read what's up. It's really just to reel people in to their company for future business. I wouldn't buy gold in that manner but there are people who do as they sold 10 already. :D

Well, from the questions and answers, it sound s like you may get bullion. However, this groupon is redeemed at their phoenix location only.

Groupon is legit, I used them to buy burgers at a local restaurant. This deals is probably for bullion coins with a high numismatic value that they can discount and break even, make a little or lose a little to get you to establish an account (to sell you more).

Let us know how this deal works out for you. I would be interested in hearing about the "investment" coins they send to you.

Looks like you get an NGC graded MS65 Morgan dollar, an NGC graded MS64 Double Eagle (pre-1907), and some other uncirculated gold coin that I can't quite make out...for $200!! I don't see the problem.

Just bit on this as I live in Phoenix and have had great success with Groupon on vouchers in the past. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

My guess would be for $100 they probably send the buyer a dos pesos gold coin and for $200 they send out an American Gold Eagle Coin, 1/10th. ouch. :D

I don't think you can just walk in and buy the coins. It looks like you go through an acct executive who recommends coins, then you send in payment and the coins are shipped. The problem is they don't show the products and prices on the website.

This is how it works. I wanted a 1/10 fractional of AGE but was told they did not have any and ended up getting 5 ASE's for the $99 price level w/ free shipping, in essence it was a pretty good deal.

    5 ASE's total, or 1 ASE for $99?

My thought when I read yoru post that their would be no clear definition of "$200 value", and they would simply jack up the "value" as high as they wanted.

Same thing went on for years, (maybe still going on), with subscriptions of various coins. They say they will send you $200 retail of (insert description) coins for $99. Well the coins they sent were "retail valued" well above redbook. "Retail value" has not legal definition, it is what they claim it is.

I've heard that many scammers come from that "groupon" website so I don't even look in there for anything.

    That's a good deal.
Do they ship them? I wonder if it's open to people outside that area.

I agree with others a heck of a deal. You are puttiing some serious cash right in your pocket.

    Great job.

The bottom line is if you know how to buy gold on your own then you don't need the offer. Groupon is a reputable company but it don't mean that Swiss America is gonna give you a great deal. Personally I would pass on the offer.
