oh good to hear it's not out yet :wipes forehead:

any ideas when they are coming out? i was hoping to be able to order 26 grizzlies and 26 cougars at the same time cause that's $20 a pop for shipping is kinda insane!

course I will eat it if I need to so I don't miss out...

All anyone's said that I've found is "Later this month" or "In September". I haven't seen an exact date anywhere.

But, really, it's probably not a mad rush. Take a look on Provident's site and you'll see that grizzlies can be had for a very small (5% or so) premium over the "base" price. Even wolves can still be had, though they do carry a bit of a premium now..but nothing excessive.

Unless the cougar's decidedly different than those 2, you shouldn't have any problem finding a tube when they come out.

I think so also. Given the cougar is the "ugliest of the bunch" so far, from a design standpoint, you should have no trouble at all finding what you want once they are released.

I just don't want to run into a premium like the wolf is getting $62+ each...glad I got my 26 of 'em for $724.63 shipped that and would love to get both rolls shipped together or no more then $20 total shipping...that's just a killer for me and really limits my buying from apmex.

Alex, look at www.providentmetals.com Their prices are at least as good as APMEX and they charge $11.95 for shipping up to $2,000.00. They are very reputable. APMEX is great, but these guys are good also.

I'll second that. Have dealt with Provident many times, always with excellent results.

The wolf is my (and probably most peoples') favorite design, and the first in the series, and it already had a little bit of buzz because of the 1/2 oz version from 2006. I think eventually this entire set will go for premiums like the Perth Mint Lunar silver. I like the fact that it's only 6 coins so you can complete the set in a relatively short period of time.

    Nice pickup btw.

I haven't been able to find anything about this on the web, but today a dealer at a coin show told me he was able to pre-order some cougars through a promotion in this week's Wall Street Journal through the Westminster Mint. I may have to try and pick one up.

  12. Just got an email from Apmex. They now have them For $3.99 over spot. TC

One in a million...I ordered one today to go with the other two Wildlife series coins I already have. I'm not very fond of the design on the Cougar, but it's still a good excuse to add an other 1 oz. silver coin to my grand kids stash.

I know what you mean, Dave. It's my least favorite design so far also, but I have to have it to make a set. I think the designer must have just finished watching 1 of the Transformer movies before he/she sat down to draw the preliminary sketch. The best prices I have seen so far are $45.00, plus $6.00 shipping at Provident Metals and $52.00, shipping included on ebay. I only paid $45.00, shipping included, for each of the first 2, so it pains me to have to pay this much for the coin I like the least.

Since I'm only getting 1 coin I'll be buying through the Mint Products. Here is the link to the Cougar coin:

Not too much more than APMEX but you don't have to have a minimum order of $50 and the shipping costs are usually around $5.00. I've used them over the years and never had any major problems with them.

Just ordered my 3 from Provident. Yay!

I'm a fan of MP as well...done quite a bit of business w/ them over the years.

The ONLY complaint I have about them is that their order processing and shipment seems to take longer than most. Order today, it doesn't get 'sent through" until tomorrow...but tomorrow's pick schedule is already made, so it doesn't get "picked" until day 3, which means it doesn't go out until day 4. So...you order on, say, a Thursday, it won't even get "shipped" (which is to say, picked up) until Tuesday, and doesn't really start its journey to you until Wednesday, nearly a week later.

I ordered from Gainesville. They are slightly less expensive, about a buck. My total, with credit card fee and shipping was just over $50. Don't forget their $5 discount code to bring shipping down to $4.75 :>)

Gainesville isn't expecting to ship till Oct. 4 which is Ok with me since all I do is take a picture so I have something to look at and then they go into the bank vault.

    Dave,

Are you at liberty to share the discount shipping code for Gainesville?
