It is welfare. If it was a true investment, once your money ran out you wouldn't get any more. The average person receives far more than they put in. Where does the rest of the money come from? Taxpayers, now or in the future. And of course the prescription drug plan is completely unfunded. Thanks Bush! (what a joke of a fiscal conservative he was)

They are investing an annuity and making money. The government is immediately spending the money, not investing it, and has to get the difference from the taxpayers. If anyone but the government did this, it would be called a Ponzi scheme.

 

Why are we still in Iraq/Afghan at all? What a waste of time, money, and human life. There was a Dem President and Dem Congress from 2008-2010. If it's all a GOP scheme, why are we still in Iraq and Afghanistan? For that matter, why did the Nobel Prize winner for Peace get into yet another war? It's not all the GOP.

Get out of all these useless wars in countries where they don't even want our democracy. Fine with me.

 

i just want to make something clear concerning NASA. Alot of people have this idea it's a bloated government bureaucracy... that we need to concentrate our resources on real problems instead of playing in space...


what those lower then average IQ people do not realize is simply the amount of technology and advancements the USA has made as a whole is equaled to $14 per $1 that has been put in NASA...look at all the things in your life...I will bet you every second of your life is better now then it would have been with "The Constellation project" and wait for the private industry to take the lead yet also e wants governement to take the lead in growing the economy...honestly it doesn't make sense... Also we are letting Russia control space travel and we will "rent" space...for our astronauts to be apart of the new project...course...russia can decide to just scrap it and tell us to fly a kite somewhere else...

sure industry made us king but also...NASA made us the SMART KING in the world...now what are we?

 

ok, so the answer is religion and churches instead of a govt. hmm, sounds like afghanistan.

wow you show your true colors. I didnt say thats the only answer but I said they help and usually better then govt.....can you show me where when a church goes in it does more harm then good???? I think it was even obama who even campained on saying that he needs to get more churces involved because they sometimes do a better job then govt......
