Wow Pru is treating this purchase like a completely documented trading account. I ordered one month ago. One week later a phone call saying my account was approved. Which is good, I heard they are kicking out over 20% of all requests, and that isn't even the multiple orders, that's just incomplete paperwork (different addy on D/L, etc.).

Since then I have received Three (3) Statements that are identical to a stock brokerage monthly statement. Today's statement shows "good" news. It shows my account with them closing out and purchasing the ATB set for $862.70. This means the coins are now shipped to their distributor, and I will await a letter from the distributor requesting another personal check for $65 delivery. Talk about a well documented, detailed transaction. This is far more involved than the other 7 Distributors I bought from combined. The length of time obtaining the coins will be the longest also, surpassing Fidelitrade.

You made me check my order number. Never looked before. You are about 2,500 orders after mine. No reason you won't get one, after receiving 2 statements. You're due for the statement closing out your cash account to purchase the ATB's.

Most of us would rather not pay $400 extra for cherry picked sets.

Exactly. My average cost including buying Air-Tties for the ones that come without, shipping, etc. is a little less than $960. $1300 doesn't seem that appealing.

As I figured my paperwork got kicked back by Prudential but all hope is not lost yet! They actually overnighted me the paperwork back and allowed me to fix it which I did then sent it back in overnight. No idea if I'll get one yet but at least I've still got a shot :)

Received letter from Diamond State Depository today. It was a form asking if I wanted to store the ATB's or have them mailed from them. Wrote another check for $65, and mailed it back. They said ten days for check to clear then they ship.

Lots of hoops, but these IMO are the last and best shot at non cherry picked ATB's.

I've just received the PB set via USPS priority mail.

DSD used a standard small flat rate postal box, registered and signature required. Within it, the coins were in a conjoined page of plastic flips, folded up and placed en-mass within a manilla bubble mailer envelope. There remained more than enough space in the box for the set to move about, but as far as I could tell, they were not too prone to doing so. My manilla envelope did have some odd scaring on it... There was an order receipt with purchaser details enclosed as well.

Despite the sparse packaging, my coins looked to be in very good shape. I'm not disappointed and am happy to finally be done with this overly complicated purchase!

just got my set from them in the mail this week as well and was very impressed with the quality. all look MS68+ to me and many are PL and maybe even DMPL. Too bad it costs over $50 to get them certified now otherwise I might have done so. Keeping them raw instead.

Might be worth it to send the more nice looking ones to be graded. Price or rather premium wise reflects it right away.

Friend asked me to sell his newly arrived Prudential set...have to say, these are some of the best raw 5 ouncers I have seen with highly mirrored finish (very proof like...DMPL on most)

Did, but I don't have any personal checks as I do all online banking.

I'd call them first. They kicked back one of my orders because I sent a cashiers check. They REALLY want the app, and personal check name and addy to match.
