So, looks like we all need to order one for a family member/friend to sell this thing out.

 

I am curious to find out why the Mint tells one "..please do not disclose the receipt number.." in their order confirmation. I have never noticed this statement from them before..

Does someone/anyone know why?

Hot Dang, I'm still in the running with this! By the way, I did wait on ordering mine and it took me all of 30 to 60 seconds. I even have a good chance at the 3 week part on delivery. Lets see, went on sale with 3 days left in April, 12th of May as first possible ship date and 3+ days for delivery =. 18 days at the earliest. Add in the fact we are dealing with the government and the US Post office. Hmmm.....21 days doesn't look that bad. The worst case scenario make me off by just 3 days. If I end up right on this, just give me a moment to put on my armor-plate so I don't get hurt by all the flying rocks. Remember, I'm old, feeble and can't run fast. :>)

 

Now here some folks that see a bright future for silver.

 

I'm actually bearish in the short term on silver..

I see 27,000 minted..

This is the first silver I've bought this year..

 

That goes back to when the mint was selling the Ultra High relief St. Gaudens Lucy. A lot of people posted their order numbers and the "hackers" went in and somehow cancelled those orders, so high was the fervor to obtain one of these coins.

 

It looks like my May 3rd date was even to early for a sell out. Anyone pick a date that was after it? Perhaps I'll win by default being the closest.

 

Push that date out even further. I just cancelled my three orders, and I know many others are too.

 

Silver volatility has spooked people. I never understood why so many "investors" buy when prices are at tops, and run away when prices drop. Money is made when it is the other way around.

 

Those that react and sell are the ones that allow the smart investors to buy when the price is driven down.

 

I've just checked my order status. It is in stock and reserved. Has anyone else got this message yet?

Couldn't disagree more. Reactions are everything. The real smart ones move in and out of the market. The not so smart stubbornly cling for perpetuity to their wrong belief and go down like the Titanic.

 

I think Sir Charles is more talking about knowing when to hold 'em, and knowing when to fold 'em....
