I have never seen ASEs sold at banks (although some on this forum have mentioned it). If your bank is selling them at that price, buy them all! TC
I will tell you right where it is, they have about 50 left and I can only afford to buy 5 or 6 of them. where I am from all the small town banks have ASE and U.S. Mint sets for sale for the people that dont have internet!
I was wrong they dont have any ASE for sale for $32.00/each they have them for sale for $28.75/each and I am going to clean them out tomorrow they have around 50 coins all in air tights with the COA and in a collector box
that is the first time i have ever heard of a bank selling ASE's. i worked for a bank for many years and they would never do that. interesting. i did get a bunch from one of the tellers that had gotten them from a customer. they both thought they were only worth $1. the teller knew i collected coins so i just got them from her for $1 a piece. score !!!!
I can tell you with 100% certainty: Some banks do get mint/proof sets and ASEs. My father was a VP at a major bank, and he used to give us these coins...we got ASEs for Christmas one year.
