i went to a huge show today, over 1000 dealers and did not see a single ATB

The dealers don't have them because they can't purchase them under current pricing. They have no margin to work with, and buying one set doesn't make it attractive to them.

Apmex still shows over 1400 sets this morning. This would lead one to believe that they have not opened the door to everyone since you still have to search "atb" to find the product. When or if they do you boys need to be ready at the switch or the window will close, perhaps for the last time.

If it were me I'd still get a Prudential set just in case. You can always puke it out for what you paid for it after the dust settles.

APMEX still has 1417 left. You must have an account to get them. Setting up an account is easy, no hoops. Log into your account, enter "ATB" in the search window, then click on the "go!" button. That is the only way to get to the page where you can order them.

Yes, you must have an account to get them, but having an account does not guarantee you can get them, at least this is for me at of now.

The quantity at APMEX is 1241 now. But you still don't find the item without doing a search. When you click on ATB in the silver section you just find those empty boxes. And I still don't know what would make those boxes worth $50.

    No it isn't.

You don't even have to have an account to pretend you're going to order a set.

Just type "america the beautiful" in the search box, and hit "go". You will find two items to purchase: ATBs and freaking empty boxes for ATBs.

The untouchables like me can order empty boxes, presumably so we can get a whiff of what ATBs smell like.

Apmex will never see an order from me in the future, that's for sure. There is zero reason to restrict sales of these sets to 18,000 people who are on some list.

I have to get back to cleaning the latrines in the colony. Somebody send down a bucket of bread.

Just got back from Fedex with my set from Jack Hunt. Overall I think the packaging was pretty good even though they didn't include airtites. The condition was about 50/50, the Yosemite and Hot Springs are both beautiful and would probably grade high with PL status. The Yellowstone was not perfect but definitely acceptable. The Mount Hood and Grand Canyon coins were pretty shot out with hazy die polish lines and some "bottom of the tube" marks. Overall I am definitely happy as melt on these bad boys is now $1075 :) I feel pretty good about this!

APMEX sent me an email a few minutes ago telling me that because I was on the alert list I can buy a set now. Apparently, until yesterday, only the 3500 winners were able to buy. Now any of the remaining 13000+ losers can buy until midnight on Monday. I was able to buy yesterday so it appears that they just neglected to send the email till today. By Monday I'm guessing they will all be gone. The site shows 1052 now.

Yeah, my Jack Hunt coins weren't the best by any means but the price is right.

Apmex leaves less than 800 sets now. I bet these are sold out by tomorrow.
