ilovedrpepper, congrats on your first gold/silver purchase. the first big bullion purchase is exciting, isnt it? my first big gold and silver purchase was in november 2009. bought AGEs for $1,160 & ASEs for $20; and i remember being po'd that I was paying 15.5% over spot for the ASE's (but to be fair only 6.3% over the dealers cost) then one month later gold and silver dropped like a rock (i still remember how sick I felt on that Friday after Thanksgiving 2009 when the first big downdraft hit) but thankfully they both bottomed out in Feb 2010 ... and it's been to the moon since then just remember there will be ups and downs ... just keep adding on the dips
I usually have 1-1.5k to save at the end of every month and I'm just tired of dumping it into ing. What would you say my course of action should be now? *********************************************************************************************************************o Besides PM investments open a ROTH account then max out your contribution each year. Invest, invest.. invest..
Yea, it took me from monday until today to finally go make the purchase but once i did i was pretty elated. Changing cash into PM is still so new to me that it was hard making that initial jump but now i see no reason to slow down! lol. i am looking forward to constantly growing my collection now EDIT: thanx for the name appreciation as well!
Does anyone have a good source for Silver where the agent is also a depository? I'm looking for financially strong Silver merchants. I don't believe minimums will be a concern. I don't want to get involved with shipping and shipping charges. And I want instant locking in of prices.
In my humble opinion it's better just to stick with the silver! That said, ASE's would be the best option! Also, in an unknown market and future ahead of us it's best not to plan more than a couple of years ahead of yourself when thinking of PM's and how they will perform. good luck!
