Wizard is selling them for $1.43 and I need some other stuff as well. I like those red 2x2 9" boxes that they sell for $1.20.

This might shed some light on Apmex:

    Danielle: Hello
Danielle: How may I assist you?
Speedie: Hi. I had an "Alert Me" set for the America the Beautiful 5oz bullion coins for a long time, however both the product and the alert have disappeared?
Danielle: APMEX identified selected individuals to receive the offer from all those who had registered with the company and indicated interest. The process of selection was designed to spread the opportunity among many different types of those registered.
Speedie: Then what was the point in having an Alert set?
Speedie: If you were going to operate some kind of lottery, why not just say so?
Danielle: So that you may be one of the once selected to receive it. If you did not sign up for the alert me you would have never been considered
Danielle: We have not sent any alerts out so far
Danielle: So you still may be able to be selected

All I can say is wow.

I will not purchase too many future issues. The water vapor and ceramic particle blasting that the collector versions will receive, probably will dull the finish making the bullion versions look more like proofs than the collector versions. This will give it the more "uniform" finish the mint speaks of. It probably will eliminate some, if not all, of the scratches everyone has commented about. Unfortunately the collector versions will also loose some of the fine detail shown on the bullion coins. You can't alter the surfaces like that and not affect quality. So since I have no interest in a compete set, I'll take a more wait and see attitude toward the collector versions.

Nope. Just searched ATB in their inventory search and was able to add to cart. I was logged in before I searched, and I'd had an alert set from ages ago, but no email from them and no request for a code.

Still nothing, but I have an email order confirmation from them and a pending charge on my credit card.

$998.75 shipped with them in PCGS First Strike holders (same as A-Mark?) and what looks like a neat packaging solution isn't a bad deal at all. Just a whisker under spot in fact.

did you sign up for the alert? im wondering if people can get in without an invite.

Yes, I had signed up for an alert months ago. I still haven't received one, but it seems that if the account you're logged in with when you add the item to your cart was set up to receive one then it lets you proceed regardless of whether you were one of the lucky 3,500.

Either that or their mail server is staggering sending out the alerts and I'm "on the list" to get one later.

I must be going blind, I don't see an inventory count on the product I'm looking at?

I just put in an order with APMEX. Logged in, entered "atb" into search bar, then put one into my cart. Graded by PCGS, too! It allowed me to check out with no problem. With credit card, $988.75 plus $99.95 processing fee, plus shipping. Let's see if I actually get one. Thanks for your post, Speedie.

Same here - I guess if you did not sign up for an alert you can't buy these?
