Well, they are showing that they are out on their website...... but who knows, they might have some stashed back and are waiting to sell them for some reason......

Is MTB really sold out, or was it just this auction that ended? They had an earlier one in which they sold 100 sets -- the one we've been discussing here was at least their second auction, and there could have been more before. So, it's possible there will be more to come.

was goin to order them from ebay earlier but had to go out. since they arent available anymore went with jack hunt. even if it takes six weeks to get them, they will probably be worth more than i paid. :thumb: that would be sweet!!!!

MTB sold over 3,000 sets to the public, BEFORE listing on ebay. I believe they are sold out.

well, that's me and urban who is "all in". I'm super happy I didn't cave in and buy these earlier at huge markups! I would think they will be worth alot more than we are paying for them with only 33,000 of each coin minted....... Unless silver takes a huge hit.

APMEX is not sold out. From what I've heard they've only sold half of their alloted sets. There are probably tons of reasons why they are waiting to bring sales back online.

If they want in on the 2011 sets they have to provide proof to the mint that they sold all of their allocated 2010 sets.

People are still bitter over these sets, but I think in the long run--- as long as the mint actually produces them every year ----that they could become a popular series.

    Only time will tell!

I got to wait until Wednesday....... I've never over-nighted anything before but I will this. I hate relying on the USPS.........

You might be right, I just don't understand the benifit of waiting to sell these as they have to sell them at somewhat of a fixed price....... That is IF they want to get the 2011's in.

That's possible. Just remember it is Sunday now, and even the dealers need to have a weekend. Wait till Monday.

After reading all of this thread, I'm guessing that it is a good deal so I gave in and sprung for the Jack Hunt set.

I don't see an address to overnight it to unless you use the USPS. The address given is a PO box. Fedex and UPS do not deliver to PO boxes. I am going to send mine regular mail. It will get there in time.

If you purchase, there is an address on the invoice sent to your email.

I posted this without carefully reading bigjohns post. Never mind.

Yes, there is. On mine it is the same PO Box as on the website.

The address on the e-mail is PO Box though. Guess you will have to use USPS to ship overnight.

I wasn't going to purchase these coins given all of the scamming that was going on from the "trusted" government resellers. However, now that they were forced to cap their gouging, I went ahead and got one of the eBay sets from MTB today. I won't believe it until I have them in my hand, so we'll see.

I feel because we are well into 2011 there is a high likelihood the Mint does not release 2010 numismatic versions of these coins. I don't know anything, just a gut feeling I have. The Mint has no obligation to issue those coins. My bet is the bullion versions will be the only ones for 2010.

One thing I hope is that this debacle makes the Mint rethink their procedures. There's really no reason the Mint shouldn't sell these bullion items direct to the public. I just don't see what purpose these resellers serve.
