Wow, that was quite the skip silver did today, eh?

I have a lil collection of ohhh lets say 25 to 30 ounces of silver. I am not a silver dude and have never really messed with bullion. So what do you guys think, keep or sell at the moment? Sell some? Sell all? Keep all?

Lemme know some opinions! They are mostly barber halve's in G to VG condition ;)

How good is an opinion? If we say sell and it jumps to $50 in 3 weeks, it was bad advice. If we say hold and it drops to $28, then it was bad advice as well.

How about sell 15% of your hoard and watch the price to see which way it goes?

I think all signs point to $40 in the next month, but what do I know?

If you need the money or want to get rid of some extras, then it's a good time to sell some.

With 25-30 ounces in your collection, I'd recommend buying more.

Nice thing about adding more now is that your earlier purchases help to lower your overall cost basis. I bought my first silver around $4.00 per ounce. It really helps with the pain of paying $37.

I am also in the same situation but I bought in around $18 with mostly ASE's. I believe I am going to buy another 15-20oz of silver either maple or ASE's. My local coin dealer said he would sell them to me for $42 an oz. I say go for it and see what happens but don't invest what you can't lose either!

Sell the shiny stuff and buy yourself a dirty old Mott Token (or other "colonial" issue of your choice)....BTW...do you still have the Pitt token?

Currently, silver is at $38.03. Silver seems to be taking that next step to 40. I could see it backing down some around 40 with people selling. Then it will take that jump higher.

    Flip It/You call

This thread reminds me of advice from Granny on trimming the grape vines.

"You can't cut it back too much" she said.

Loppers in hand I approached the 1st victim and as I spread the handles pondered her advice and realized I didn't know if I should start at the top or the bottom.

So pull some silver out and flip it.
You call and I have a 50% / %50 percent of being right.

    That's my advice.

Sell when it closes above $60 for more than three sessions.

What motivated you to buy your silver? If you bought it as a trade sell it, if you bought it as an investment sell it if has met your objective, if you bought it as an insurance policy for bad times in the dollar - hang on!

Alright thanks everyone! Right now I don't really need the money so I'm going to keep all of it and see what happens from there :)

And I sold the Pitt Token, damn I miss it... But I still have the Elephant Tokens!
