Coast to Coast now offering the set at $1695: http://www.coastcoin.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=129922&eq=&Tp= How long now before the Ebay prices reach this level?
There are a lot of these coins with scuffs, dings and dents... the dogs are getting sorted out and pricing accordingly, some are moving towards the bullion price range. However, if the 2011s and/or future coins of this series have higher mintages, a collector base developes, silver takes off from its current levels, etc., prices will adjust/fluctuate. Prices of these are by no means going only one direction yet.
I think that once the collectors versions of the coins come out the bullion pieces will be more bullion priced, if the mint adds its usual silver premium, I would guess the coins would be about 200 each, I expect the bullion coins to end up maybe about 170 each if silver prices stay around 30.
I agree that once the collectors versions appear that the bullion versions will drop down closer to spot (or more realistically to right around the price the APs sold them for in January 2011). TC
Yep. I was at a coin show this weekend and a dealer had some of these for sale. He was really wanting to wheel & deal to get rid of them but I wasn't that interested. Seeing the things in person I was a bit taken back by how unattractive they are compared to the photos that I've seen. IMO, these coins are heading quickly to the bullion price so if you are looking to flip them for some cash you better hurry.
I seen a raw 5oz ATB set sell for $1100 before ! Absurd post= Believe it or not.:smile Closed auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-FIRST-STRI...79?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1c192f9efb
Absurd is the link you just gave us... The $51 neyronix auctions are suspect anyway. The coin pictured is a MS69 and the seller's listing says it's a PR70. Firstly there are no reported 70s in the pop reports and the listing is whack, just devised to attract attention and fool people like you who are just playing around in these threads. Where is the link for the $240 auction you mentioned earlier? What you need to do is back up your claims and support them with links. Without it your posts are meaningless banter.
Sunday night was not kind to ATB's. Sealed Amark sets under $1550. I got a little more for mine tonight. Still a drop from the $1900 I got last weekend.
You're voice in this discussion continues to crumble as you've failed to back up your original comments with anything verifiable. Thanks for playing.
The same thing can be said about any of your graded coins with precious metals composition that you paid more than 5-10% over intrinsic bullion price to obtain. Is bullion collectible? Yes, Collectors will collect anything. It doesn't matter what your opinion is regarding what others collect or are willing to pay for said items. Its an individual's choice and needn't draw the ire of skewed hobbyist perspectives.
I ordered one from one of the wholesaler, still haven't received mine yet, debating if I should sell it then buy it back later, I think it will drop to 1100 eventually
They could start back up anytime too. With only 33,000 of each? They could exceed any high price already set.
I don't think there 33000 who want to buy and hold. To me mintage is high, if mintage was 5000 or something it would be great investment for long term. Plus it's a series of coins, mintage will be lower in future ATB 5 oz.
