Privately manufactured gold rounds, like silver rounds

If you want one-ounce units of gold or silver, and want to avoid serial numbers on them, you can buy government-minted coins. If you want a low cost over spot, you can buy larger bars. If you want all three of these advantages, you can buy privately manufactured silver rounds. But is there any such option for gold? Are there privately manufactured gold rounds with a lower cost over spot than government-minted gold coins?

Thanks, but the markup on all the gold rounds which apmex sells is even higher than the markup for krugerrands, and comperable to the markup for gold eagles, so there's no incentive to buy the rounds rather than government-minted coins.

I would stick with government coins incase you decide later to sell.
