Yep it is crap. I know, but the Norfed dollars had $ amount on it and those guys were shut down. How is the law different for them?

 

Well the secret service will chase you on 33 double eagles or 64-D Peace dollars but not them.

 

Geez, this makes for a tough decision. I can't decide whether to pick up one of these gems or go with the Jefferson Penny that someone posted yesterday. However, in all honesty, after looking at the picture of that penny I don't think it is a very good likeness of George Jefferson at all.

Those are interesting, but the ones I posted say $50 and United States Of America, etc. If Norfed made those, they would be confiscated and the Norfed guys would go to jail. Why can the Merrick Mint produce coins with a denomination and not get shut down?

The Norfed guys got shut down because they came up with a system of circulation that actually worked and some people (coin dealers) could actually make money off the Norfed dollar if they used it instead of the US dollar. That frightened the fed a little I think.......
