    Thanks TC!

Going to be real hard for those wanting these bullion versions to try to get them off the bullion dealer market. If the mintages are this low the Mint should have just handled the release and orders. I can't imagine quality is going to attended to passing through so many hands of bullion dealers. Premiums in the secondary market will be VERY interesting to watch on these. And very interesting that numismatic versions will be out in 2011 as well.

I am surprised that few know that NGC has specialized oversized Holder's . For a few extra dollars you may have your medal's or large bullion pieces encapsulated by NGC. They are the only service to offer these holder's.

It would be nice if there was a subscription for the numismatic versions on the mint's webpage, because I fear with the low mintage it will be extremely difficult to order them the day of release.

    $200 per coin

I would not be surprised to see the set of five 5-ounce bullion coins to sell for a nice round $1000 or the marketing ploy of $999 per set. It may be too rich for my wallet. I was looking forward to adding these coins to my collection and I may have to think about it long and hard over the weekend if I want to literally chase for a set.

It would be nice if CT was an approved bullion dealer.

    Wouldn't that be something!

Think they could rush that through in the next 5 days?
The minimum order for a dealer is 25,000, but this will be special circumstances with allotments, etc

I just don't want the U. S. Mint to go nuts with their offerings as has the RCM. They have coins out the wazoo! Maybe they'll have a coin commemorating coin collectors (or perhaps already have. just didn't notice with all the other stuff!)! lol

Well I hope everyone who griped about them selling them through the dealers and not handling it themselves is satisfied. Instead of a 56 coin set it's now going to be a 112 coin set. And with mintages down around 30K for each if you don't get one initially you will probably have to pay through the nose for it. And then there is the matter of the people who whined about what the dealers would charge for them. Now their supplies have been cut by 2/3rd, expect the retail prices to be much higher, and expect the price the mint sells them for to be even higher still.

I was planning on trying to do a set of these. With this new announcement I am seriously considering dropping the whole thing. Now instead of about $135 for each park, I'm looking at $300+.

Well that covers the P mint pieces, add another $750 for the bullion coins. And that's if you can get them initially. With mintages this low I have to wonder how many of them the TV people have already got locked up through pre-orders with the distributors?

I'm glad the mint will be selling numismatic versions of these directly to consumers. They should be cheaper than buying from a distributor.

You may have to wait until mid 2011 to get one though .

Yeah, there's a lot of unknowns right now. Next week we should have better information.

based on $28.44 an ounce. my guess is that the collector's version will cost us around $229.95 each. and the bullion one will be around $20.00 over spot or $162.20 each. mintage for collector's version is 33,000 each for 2010 and 27,000 each for 2011. the bullion version will have no maximum limit.

The 2010 Collector coins sold in 2011 should have the new Mint logo and packaging, that will probably look very nice. The Mint will probably wait till silver goes past $30/oz (any minute now) before selling the coins.

I wonder if the 2010 and 2011 ATB 5oz coins will both be offered in 2011 together? Both the Mint and us collectors would save on shipping :>)
