Mystery gold coin?

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me identify this gold Item? Is it a coin?
    It has a little solder on one side so I expect it has been part of some jewelry [but not in the last 50 years]. It Measures 1.6cm and weighs 4 grams.

    Nobody any idea? It clearly has the numbers 250 on it.
