I thought it was a typo so I had to check APMEX. Being so early in the morning, I had to rethink if this was good or bad....sometimes I get a little dyslexic with the numbers. But then I saw elaines thread too....

    Thank you BOJ!!!

For the effect of posting even BIGGER numbers, Elaine has been quoting *futures prices*, not actual spot and not intraday trade, so unless you are buying futures in PMs contracts, her prices are not accurate for daily trading like if you are hoping on a bullion dealer web site and buy at the dealers Ask price.

I haven't really paid too much attention to futures contract. I don't fully understand their purpose.....

Can't wait for the markets to open and see what they do. I think they are shell shocked.....

Congratulations on the $1350 level nearly being reached!

Check out the technical analysis at Kitco: http://www.kitco.com/reports/template_jimw.htm

If gold is an "insurance policy" as Ron Paul says, it has got to be the best one out there.

But if you read Jon Nadler's article yesterday where he showed how the PMs always seem to reach a peak between late September and early October, it may be prudent to wait a while before getting into this market. The rule is two steps forward and one step back. Eventually the profit takers sell a share of their holdings.

Thanks guys. Aren't we near some sort of Indian tradition where they purchase a lot of gold? I forget what it was all about....but this is quite a run up....I'm already mentally prepared for the drop, let's just hope it's not a huge huge drop......

But I like 2 steps forward 1 step back.

End of year is typically buying ahead of wedding-season, late September - December.
