Buy, Sell or Hold? what are you doing with your silver?

Discussion in 'Bullion Investing' started by Luke1988, Sep 24, 2010.

  1. I buy silver only on dips and have done well doing so. A dip in spot may be harder to define now that it is over $21/ounce...perhaps under $20/ounce. Silver will dip again, correct? TC

I am small potatoes compared to most of you, not a serious investor. I sold thirteen ounces on Ebay for an average of $26 per ounce. I'm going to use the money for an upcoming coin show. I may buy a 1/4 ounce gold eagle at the show as well as some numismatic coins.

I am keeping the rest of my silver bullion, which amounts to two tubes of ASE's and a tube of Maple Leaves. I will buy another tube on the next dip, if it goes below $20.

Maybe, but to what? I can`t see it dipping past $19 for too long if it ever would indeed go under $20. I think too many factors favor silver. I`m with You though TC.....I wish it would at least stabilize for a week or two and give me a chance to load up on it. But look on the bright side.....if it continues to rise, and hit $30+ (which I believe it will) We`ll all be thankful We pulled the trigger on it when it`s $21 an ounce. : )

Wait until after the election. Many people who feel slighted may go to silver in a big way, or in some way if you are a seller.
PMs are pushed up and down or manipulated to keep the currency whole. A direct disconnect of PMs and fiat currency would be difficult for some.

I am going to hold most of my silver until i one day really need it. (and im talking about years to come) Rise or Drop i'm sure it won't drop for less than what i first started buying silver (13.50 oz) i have a small treasury box that looks neat with my junk silver coins :).
