    I'm not quite sure what you mean by "due to the high and low points". May we see a photo of the reverse?

    lots of things will cause corrosion to form on copper and it eats the copper away the same as acid would. this is what some copper coins looks like when found with a metal detector and the corrosion removed from the coins.
