What do you think? Worst one you've ever seen?

How was this made? A mold from an actual Seated Dollar?

That one is pretty bad...it looks cast to me as the surface is very rough.

It isn't the worst I have seen. The worse ones have off sized letters etc. and comical figures.

Not even close to the worst.

I agree...it's not the worst by far, but it's certainly an obvious fake.

It is, but compared to some, it's not that bad really. In particular, the date is of the correct style, as the Ms. Liberty herself (per denomination) which is not the case with many of the very poor fakes of this type.

That is certainly true...I have seen some where I wonder if the person that made them had ever actually seen an authentic coin.

I have seen much worse. The sad thing is that some unsuspecting collector might actually buy a monstrosity like this on E-bay.

I have no doubt that it would sell.

I think one of the worst I have seen was an 1842 CC Seated dollar.

1842-CC dollar ? Yes, the worst ever !

I had an 1842-CC dollar walk up to my table a few months ago. I could tell from five feet away it was a stinker.

When I saw the CC mint mark, I informed my new-found friend that the Carson City mint didn't commence operations until 1870.

    d'oh !!!!!!!!

It would be a worse fake if it had a date from the 1900's... LOL!
