i have a friend who's grandparents own a casino, and today i sold him a laptop. he gave me a $100 bill + $95 in loose quarters. out of the quarters i found 19 silver, mostly 1960's stuff, the oldest was a 1948. tomorrow i'm going to ask him if he can get me a few thousand dollars worth of those quarters from his grandparents.....

Went through $200 worth of halves today. A lot of marked coins, but I found 1 1968 Kennedy. Found the 1968 in a CWR. I've gone through close to $1000 in BWR and all were skunk. Anybody know if San Francisco Bay Area is dry in general?

what you are seeing is about the norm nowdays when it comes to halves....pretty much dried up everywhere. I live in Podunk Montana and had some luck with halves about a yr ago when I started and hit a few good licks. Last 6 months...marked coins and marked rolls from every other CRH'er in the northwest..... Still try once in awhile but pretty have given up for the most part.

I get a box of halves a week, and since the first of the year have only found NIFCs and a couple of 40%ers. Seems like it's gone dry here as well.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with it considering what I have been getting all year. I have a goal of 80 wars and 40 buffs for the year. It has been pretty bad for wars for me this year so I am only at 24/80 wars and 20/40 buffs. I think I may hit my buff goal but I doubt I'll make the war goal.

I've only found about 4 buffalos and 3 war nickels in about a year of searching 3-5 rolls a day at work. I also found a V nickel.
