I especially like this coin with the golden patina yours exhibits! Very nice!

How can this Peace dollar be just a -62? No distracting bag marks that can be seen in these pictures, well struck, great eye appeal. What on earth were they drinking the day this coin came across their desks?

I am hoping it will CAC, which is why I bought it. But to answer your question, I believe it was held back by a lack of luster. It may have been over-dipped at one point. What I am hoping is that it has a nice satin appearance in-hand.

My guess is that it's a super slider. They maybe found what they thought was a rub, but couldn't be sure.

Actually the strike is not that good, if you look at the reverse you can really tell, besides that there is light wear and it shows really well on her hair. Great looking coin but nothing more than a MS62.

I snagged this at a coin show today. The dealer graded it himself, not through a TPG, as MS-60. Thanks for checking it out! Only 1 left in the Peace Dollar Album :)

Seems to have nice luster. I don't think the "Patriot Collection" means anything special.

Beautiful coin! I don't know what the Patriot Collection moniker means either, but I hope others might elaborate.

Could also be that it is in an older holder; from when NGC was more conservative grade-wise.

I thought so too, but it only went CAC Green, not CAC Gold like I thought it would. So CAC also agreed with the 62 grade. Personally, I still think its a easily 63.
