Brand new Morgan, destined for CAC. Only major concern I see is the big hit on the eagles breast. Love the toning! Detail shots.
Gemmy MS-65 1900-O toned! I think I see a minor Vam but not worth time or money to crack it out of the Classic soap box holder
Torontokuba, looks like there's some doubling on the date. Either that or my eyes are tired and it's time to go to bed.
IMHO, It's Toning (or lack of), not a bad scan, and not doubled. I see this often on Morgans. Probably related to metal flow. I'm sure Doug or MorganDude could tell you for sure.
If some of you who know me are wondering why a massive increase in my purchases this past week, it's because I decided to sell me Kennedy Proof set, 74 coins total. I kept only 2 special Kennedy, the 1998 SP and the 1964 Accent Hair. I was really sad to let the 1968,1969, and 1970 go, as those were fantastic coins, but had to be done for the set. I am using the money to send in two batches of coins to CAC, see if I have the "eye" for it or not. Could be success, could be epic failure. Another new one.
It is a beautiful coin--I Love it. However, it might not get the CAC, as they have similar criteria to the NGC star--if the toning goes to dark brown or black, they won't sticker it in many cases. Just enjoy it the way it is--it is gorgeous!!
It is toning around the date that makes it look doubled. I don't think it is a DDO coin, but the shadow of the toning, IMHO.
1921 MS 63?? + or minus. I could trade 4 it but Obvious her bag marks make me look see walk thru coin.
I just traded an arm and a leg for this one.....literally.....one arm and one leg....my wife is in a lot of pain right now!
I was 50/50 on this one getting CAC approved. It was a coin I submitted raw to NGC a few years ago, and he hairlines was a cause for concern. I think the luster gave it the nod.
