I was looking at a 1975 auction catalog and the coin very similar to yours was graded fine (it was very smooth and not centered well) and they expected it to go for $50-$70 back then.
Just opened another package (I just love coming home to packages . . . and my wife, too). Gotta love silver proofs!
Just check out the wife and make sure she ain't carrying a meat cleaver.....given the veracity of you recent bevy of acquisitions I'd be sneakin' in the back door.......
She is a wonderful woman and quite the gal, she let's me do as I please within a whole lot of reason.
Actually, just found a near duplicate if your owl coin in my 1975 Superior Stamp and Coin Co. auction catalog and that coin was expected to bring $500-$750. I could only imagine what that coin would bring today.
I love Walkers! I see you have your file named "1942_uncirculated". Just letting you know this is not uncirculated. It's more like XF. The Eagle's breast feathers and lack of luster are a dead give away.
Doesn't take away from the fact it's one of the best designs and most beautiful coins in any condition!
i finally found a full bu roll of atb quarters at my local bank one of my co workers gave me the casino token the other day
Makes me remember - or miss, rather - our old friend, Merc Crazy, a collector of OGH Mercury Dimes. He'd have 'liked' your post too, Caz. Nice piece.
